DD M4 V5 or MK18

great! thanks for all the info... and pics! good looking hardware i must say. i think i've pretty much settled on the v5 for a starting point and then go from there after. I highly doubt i'd be able to stop at just 1 AR anyway

I have at least 3k through my norc 10.5 with no issues and nothing more than a bolt lube and swabbing the barrel. If the Chinese 14 year old machinists can build a reliable 10.5" I am sure DD can to.

I love the short barrel AR personally over the 16", but all the ranges around me here are 100 meters so I don't see much benefit to moving up the extra inches. Another handy aspect of the SBR is that it's easy to stack multiple guns in one case.

DD is seriously nice gear! Nice choice for an ar.
 
I have both and really enjoy each of them. I have a red dot on the 10.5 and use it mostly for 3 gun. I have a 1 x 4 on my 16 and use it for service rifle and general range use. If I had only 1 it would be the 16 and swap the optics for the intended use. They are both equally reliable if you keep them lubed.
 
Get a norinco. Then spend the leftover money from your 2000 budget on a spring kit and a RRa trigger. The remaining money can buy lots of ammo.
 
Orders my DDMk18 with the brown rail last week from wolverine and I'm pretty stoked! Cant wait to take it out to the range! Why kind of BUS would you guys recommend, and what do you guys think of the DD trigger? Also, Eotech or Aimpoint T1?

Im leaning towards troy battle sights and the T1 as of right now.... Just want to make sure I grab the right base so I can have a co-witness on my sights.
