HI all
Picked up a pair of Muck brand hunting boots of their Canadian website for $99 regular $160. Only $7 shipping. They have a bunch of boots on sale. Lots of ladies if your looking for a pair for your lady for Christmas. Don’t have any experience with them but few friends have and say there pretty good.

Is that the hoax story where they were allegedly donating to HSUS but it was actually a local shelter who isn't HSUS affiliated?

Not a hoax, They posted on FB that they had made a donation to hsus. There was immediate outrage from their customers on FB. So Muck corrected and said the donation was to a local shelter not associated to hsus. The local shelter said, hey we never received a donation from them, so muck gave them $2000. Muck made a very political statement saying that donation did not go to hsus. At no time would they say they did not support hsus when asked directly.

Apparently muck employees at the time (2014) said the statement made by muck was BS.

Got this off an archery site, so seems to sum it up.

This is how I remember it playing out. Muck would have been a lot better off coming clean and apologizing but instead released a series of lies that they got caught on. That's what really upset folks.

Not as blatant as I first thought, reminds me of Canadian politics ! I still wouldn't buy from them based on how they handled the media kerfuffle.

Most people don't realize that HSUS is an animal rights lobby group.

I think that's why they chose that name !! Not too many farmers or hunters that are not fully aware of them. In many ways the fraud with misrepresenting themselves in soliciting donations makes them worse than peta.

If that was the case with Muck they should have said so. Muck is owned by Honeywell?? Big ass weapons contractor. They got that going for them !
