It's tempting, but after the xmetal fiasco, is it really worth it to save a few bucks? I already have almost 1000 bullets that are barely usable.
xmetal fiasco...
Please tell me more...
Considering CanAm's reputation I really wouldnt hesitate to buy if i were interested.
It's tempting, but after the xmetal fiasco, is it really worth it to save a few bucks? I already have almost 1000 bullets that are barely usable.
You and me both. I love saving $$ like every other reloader but 3000pcs of potentially unknown pills not to mention 115gr? I've learned my lesson after my XMetal issues while trying to save a buck.![]()
No one going to fill us in on the xmetal fiasco? about 4 people have asked.
So fill me in as to why Xmetal bullets, which look like cast with some sort of coating, has anything to do with the plated bullets that Canada ammo has.
Or is it all unsubstantiated and prejudicial opinion that if it doesn't say CamPro or ?? It must be rubbish.
Budget shooters supply has 115 gr plated for 90 per 1000, $239.00 for unknown 3000 is no great deal, that's a $59.00 ammo can.
I use a turret press, 12 minutes per 50, so 4 hours per 1000. 9mm I don't make my working wage, but when I get into 45 or 357, I make more loading then working. Wonder if I could get that by wife, " but honey, if I quit my job and reload, I'm making more "
How do you figure its not a great deal? they are $94 per 1000 at budget, so $282 per 3000, and probably another $20 for shipping, that puts your at $302 before taxes.
Canam "unknown" 115 for $240 with free shipping before taxes.
Savings of $62 and a Free ammo can
If you take the savings it would add up to 659 extra bullets based on budget supply pricing.
Seems like a pretty good deal to me
