Ebola makes a good argument. Im rethinking the whole thing. I suppose the discount applies when the firearm shows wear..or is anything less than perfect.

My gun shop has 75 rifles along the wall behind the counter..agreed they will be sold as new.

Sure.... but then th egun itself has to be "as new".... anything more than fingerprints and it is damaged goods...

same question I had at one point before i bought a firearm as a floor model before this SIG, really to me now the line is crossed when the firearm shows wear to the finish in the form of being able to see bare metal and scuffing through a blued or Cerakote finish or definite scratches to a stainless finish..... My sig showed definite wear to the exterior finish, rails and definite scuffing in the trigger guard and cocking serrations....... i have received money off (yes up to 25%) on other firearms in similar condition from smaller retailers. my issue is I was neither told about it having been on the floor (wild west on the floor means on the floor they have stands where firearms are shown in store on shelves not in locked cabinets.) nor the condition with shipping wear and scuffing to the finish..... had i been told and offered even $100 off the gun i would have said "yeah thats great thanks for being honest about you product" and still bought the firearm..... the problem is i was neither told note offered discount or after the fact any compensation.... I was told if i wanted an actual new gun i would be paying the shipping myself back to them (filling out the transfer forms myself too) all for what is frankly their screw up....... I started this forum as a "buyer beware" that this is how a very large attraction/shop operated even making money hand over fist like we all know they are.... That is why i posted and why I am angry.....

So it happened to you a couples of times. You are an unlucky dude...

Seriously, why don't you just send them back the gun and get the refund? Every dealers and their dogs sell Sig.

No before i was told snd offered a discount on the firearm.... This time i was neither told until I ASKED THE QUESTION AFTER I RECEIVED A GUN WITH DAMAGE.... AND I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER I WOULD BE PAYING THE SHIPPING FOR THEIR ##### UP!!!!

How hard is it to understand that?

I've been to wild west many times and I've never seen pistols on the floor unlocked. I don't think that's even legal for a gun shop to do (much less sane) is it? You have to ask to see any pistol and present your PAL, at which point it's taken out of a locking glass case. The most I think I've seen is a rifle or two up on the counter in a stand. And again you don't just walk up and grab those and start manhandling them either.

That being said a lot of young white "gangsta's" come into wild west and put their grubby paws all over the pistols, slam the slides down empty, dry fire, etc etc. But I imagine that happens to every gun shop.

Seriously though, deal with P&D if you want to deal in Edmonton. They're the best there is. Milarm actually has gotten way better too, I was there recently and it was a good experience. Very friendly and helpful. They used to be f-ing scary dudes at Milarm at one time. Wild west is cocky with a capital C. And their prices follow their attitude.

Recently I purchased a "new" Sig 226 from Wild West shooting centre in West Edmonton Mall...... when i Received the forearm it had visible wear to the finish... when I contacted Wild west about this i was then told the item had been a Floor gun (and for them floor means floor they have the guns sitting on little shelves where anyone can handle them) HAVING TO CONTACT AND PRY IT OUT OF THE MANAGE/OWNER to find out the firearm was a floor gun. I was neither told nor offered any discount prior to buying/ shipping.... and after bringing the issue to the management I was offered no compensation, it has been about a week of prying any contact from them and I am still being offered nothing and basically have been told I will pay the shipping back to them and then waiting (up to 6 months) for a new pistol.... Any other dealer would have told me about the condition and offered me a discount or if they had not noticed a percentage refund or item discount...... I post this as a warning not to do online (or any) business with Wild West shooting centre..... one owner/Manager is named Flora Kupsch.... Just a warning this business is no trust worthy or reputable in any way....

Here are the pics

from what I've seen and been told they are trigger locked and on display tables at times.

Didn't want to comment until I saw pics....... That is definitely NOT a new firearm. I'd be pissed too. I don't know how anyone could pass that off as new. I've bought used guns on EE here that have shown less wear. All these posts and nothing from WWSC? I don't know how they could ignore this thread for this long...

Thanks for taking the time to post some pictures. Based on the first pic alone I can tell you that would not be acceptable to me. In the future I recommend you do what I do when I buy a gun sight unseen, call and ask if the gun that will be sent is a display model, and if so, what condition is it in? I'm not saying you're at fault for not asking but it helps to establish what you expect when you receive the item. That should help you avoid these situations in the future. I'm interested to see what the dealer has to say about this.

Ugh... Thats too bad man. I would be very frustrated as well. It's already unnerving enough to spend so much money online for something you havent seen, but then to get a firearm like this :( I hope everything works out for you man. Keep on them. If they don't own up they will lose lots of business. Best of luck

Thanks for the pictures. Thats the way to go. I would, if I were you, return it. I own a 1911 Sig Scorpion Carry ( soon two !) with that finish. No matter who say it, its is not as durable as any other non painted finish and cannot be touched up to make it look good again. To get it refinished will cost you between $250 -$300. Does not worth it.

I've never seen anything like that there. Always been in the gun cases any time I was there. Not saying it can't be true, but that's not anything I've seen.

Sorry to see you got such a beat up firearm though. I wouldn't want that either. Looks like the pictures shut up the angry dealer apologist brigade though.

Every single store I've been in has had their pistols on display under glass with no trigger locks. I've also never been asked for my PAL when looking at and handling guns. That's on everything from a .22 plinker to $10k+ .50 cal rifles.

As for the OP; call them once more and ask for a full refund and shipping paid back to them. If they refuse, inform them that there will be a charge back being performed. Then call your credit card company and charge it back, they will instruct you on what to do with the gun at that point.
