December Purchases

Now this will be the perfect holiday project:

  • cut the funnel at the barrel end off
  • remove the top wood
  • install a real recoil pad
  • drill and install my new varmint scope
  • maybe, if time allows, i can paint the stock with truck bed liner

wouldn't that be cool?

Only if you put a laser sight on there.

My neighbour gave me this rifle, not sure what it is, but he said it's kind of an Einfeld...

I would like to have neighbour like yours !!! :p
Its not a kind of Enfield, ITS AN ENFIELD !!!
Lee Enfield No5 Mk1 but it is commonly called Enfield Jungle Carabine !!!

To be honest with you i'm not a purist and i have nothing against bubba riffles. ( when its well done )
But your rifle look to be in pristine condition.
If i was you ill keep it original...
This rifle worth at least 350-400$ if the bore is in gr8 shape.
If you want to make a *sportster*, buy one common enfield, you can have a nice one for around 150-175$

You can find tons of regular enfields...and not tons of Jungle carabine !!!

For the scope mount, there is some brands like ATI, they make good scope mounts and they don't require gunsmithing. Look at them before drill and cut the receiver !!!

But its your gun and your money :yingyang:

I suspect Polaris was being very, very sarcastic. :D

very nice factory 11 M44's.

they are without any doubt the most beautifully made Mosin Nagants.

The Poles made great guns.

to me it sounds like a complete sin to ruin a jungle carbine but im just a purist
