In BC, deer are legal, but not for bear.
I asked a CO this question a few years ago, he said it is legal because it doesnt work very well

I made a similar inquiry a couple of years ago and for Deer yes. The only baiting not legal is for Bear and migratory birds.

Sliced apples, put out on a regular basis, from an old apple tree not too far from one of my archery stands seems to work not too bad.

It's legal in Ontario, though I don't really agree with it.

A lot of guys plant so-called "food plots" to attract deer, but somehow don't think they're baiting.

The way I see it, the use of attractor scents is baiting as well.

Yeah the whole CWD BS...I think they are targeting the mass feeding troughs that have 10-20 deer at any given moment...A pile of apples is not enough to sustain that many deer over an extended period of time.
