Why? Is there a requiremnet or need to post experiences before one can comment on others experiences? Have I been unethical by expressing my opinion? I assumed he wanted peoples recognition about what he had done or he wouldn't have posted it.

Riley posted his hunting experience to share what he had done. I expressed my opinion about it.

FWIW, I do not object to hunting from logging roads or trails with a motorized vehicle. Different areas call for different techniques and strategies. I am glad and envious Riley had an ejoyable hunting experience. I wish the same for eveyone.

Sorry Slugo, haven't been on this thread in a while,

With all of the adversity that we face as gun owners and hunters,it's hard to take one hunter crapping on another on a forum designed to help each other out. Especially a young one.

That said, previous posts before this one have calmed the waters. So no need for me to sound off anymore.;)

Riley

Hi Riley: you may change your mind on that if you ever find yourself doing consulting work and having to draft statements of work; Hell hath no snark like a contracts lawyer who has to proofread your work as well as do a legal review on it. I know one who keeps a voodoo doll on her desk for those special occasions when she has to work on a document that reads like it was crayoned on the back of a brown paper bag.

And congratulations on your buck!

Nice one death-junky! Congrats. Can I add some?.. ;)
I filled my first tag too (whitetail doe to fill a freezer) last Sat.

1pm. We, in fact, considered the hunt over and just went to see some new nice spots for future as we did not plan to stay for a sunset, when we saw this doe running across the oil well access road into a cutline. My buddy stopped and followed events were just like in FFWD on VCR: jump out, toss magazine into my M14, my buddy heads into young trees brush bordering a cutline. While loading, I made a 100m spurt from road throught light brush on open space to cover it in case if my buddy's guess was correct, and it was not... I spotted it on the other side on the far end of the opening on the edge of the dense forest entering it. She did not go far - dropped where she stood due to led poisoning of .308 Remington 150gr CoreLokt PSP. I was surprised to find out it was 140m shot on the run, off-hads, over brush. Looks like my intence practicing in off-hands shooting last summer pays off.

Awesome Riley!
I'm Green with Envy! :D

Oh and drop the "s" off the end of anyway.
No such animal as "anyways"...I know this as during the first 6 months of marriage my English Lit' wife would flick my ear every time I said it like that. :D

Congrats again on the Deer! :dancingbanana:
