Bought a Ruger Stainless in 06 yesterday after tradeing the Remington SPS 270 to Bronco Mudder. Did a sight in with 168 grain Nosler Balistic tips yesterday at the range and took it out at 11:00 am this morning. Buck down at noon.:D Its a 5x5. Not alot of antler mass but he has some big hams on him!! Hit him at 200 and a couple steps he piled up in some young spruce maybe 20 yards from where he got hit. Took the top of the heart out and no bullet recovery. With the deer kill and range sight in, i have put 11 rounds down the pipe!!:D

................I am torn.:D In the last while i have been willing to admit an open sighted Winchester has its limited place. If i push bush for someone, i still like the levers. But this Ruger shot like a laser beam with the first factory load i tried!!:eek:
