Deer mount is home!

Thats not to bad for your first!!!! I know how you feel. I was sitting in my treestand all day but at 3:00pm people thought it would be a good idea to drive awith atvs and cut some trees down. It lasted about 20 mins before they left. I was pissed and ready to leave but im glad i didn't. at 430pm a beautiful 140" 8pt walked by and stopped at 20 yards, I made the shot and got the deer. Not really a fan of the old style wooden plaque. You should take a look at the wall habitat from McKenzie. It really dresses it up and makes it that much nicer http://www.mckenziesp.com/Wall-Habitat-Kits-C2392.aspx

Ya , dont mean to knock it at, all it looks like a beauty mount but ... First thing i noticed was the wood wall plaque... Old school , Little tackey. Just my opinion. All good if you like it Xeon. Dont let us persusad you.

I would even just take the wood off and mount it right against the wall. No plaque at all. Or leave it like that, just a suggestion.

I had a good chuckle at the 2nd picture, as soon as I saw it, I knew you were not married. No wife would be impressed with a buck in the trunk!

Don't you know deer are to be strapped to the hood with the head hanging over the front grill and driven around town for your friends to see before taking home to skin?:p

Congrats on the nice deer! Your taxidermist did a great job.

I think I might actually look into creating my own. They do look a little nicer than the plaque you're right.

Good good. Your wife will probably like it better and may not mind letting you put up a few more in the future lmao

Think he posted 4 months , pretty quick i think. My 2012 Blacktail has bin gone for over 3 months. Looks like it still might be another 3. Keeping my fingers crossed

I worked at a taxidermy shop for over a year.. Keep calling and break the guys balls. Trust me he will get it done asap lol

It surprisingly fit quite well in a Nissan versa. Who needs a truck anyways when you have a 40mpg off road machine?
