Deer Season 2020 Thread

Took the girl friend out for her first season this year. Shes hooked. Got a big 2 point at 250yards on the 17th with her and both my kids. One of the best days of my life. This past sunday we went back to the same area and the gf spotted another 2 point bedded down way up the slash. She spotted it so she gutted it. :)

You got a FitBit but have to print out photographs on Paper? then take photographs of the photo....
tech no logoy.
I’m no techie ... but the reason I post a photo of a pic ... is to preserve the location of the area I hunt. I thought it was possible to identify the location from a phone photo...am I wrong?

seems like the deer in my area has been on the decline for a very long time. not as many animals in there like there used to be. not too impressed at all.

Was out after some coyotes today. Saw more wt bucks than I’ve seen in weeks. A nice 3 point (each side above eye guard/ browtine) ran across in front of me a nice 4 went the other way with a doe. On my way to a feedlot within a mile there was an other big 4 point (10 in all if that’s how you count) walking across from a old corn field. Sure fun to see them. 2 others at distance I couldn’t tell how big.

My first season deer hunting this year. I have put in over 50 hours so far and have seen a spike and a tiny 2 point when it was still dark. If the universe would just throw me a 2 point when its light I would be more than happy :(. But thats why its called hunting and not killing lol.

It can change in a second.

I've passed 5 opportunities so far, and starting to regret them a little. Last one was this past weekend on a doe at 252y. Between bow and rifle, Ive done over 200 km of hiking in the foothills on my weekends off. Still loving it and going out this weekend with pretty high spirit actually. Getting the animal isn't the highlight, for me at least.

Keep it up! Luck is a big part of it. Last year we only got three days in and could have had three deer between my buddy and i.

Same here in wmu 66a lately all i saw on cam were does. but this year we have had 5 different bucks, mostly 4 pointers but there is a 6 and a small 8 pointer roaming around. A beautiful 10 showed up late last year. I am hoping they remain active (got a cell pic today of a possible small 6) until i can get back out wih the crossbow.
