Definition of a Fudd gun??

Thank ye muchly.:) She was fun to do up and is a sweetheart for plinkin' and pest critter removal. The bugger stays with me till I flop.;)
This 45 ACP one I done up is a "till de end rifle" as well.

^^ Love those 50's. They seem to have a distinctive "bark". I still have one. Pretty much a two man job putting one of those baskerds back together

** I have several "fudd" guns. My Dad owned two guns - a Tobin double 12 ga. and a sporter BSA M1917. I have been buying and shooting for 55+ years, and have spent a fair bit of time and money milling around in the firearms world. After reading some of the posts on CGN, I realize I hardly know anything, compared to some.

God bless Carbine Williams and the Floating Chamber Action. I'm pretty sure that the floating chamber is what creates that distinctive sound.

Taking them down for general cleaning is a snap... Just so long as you don't need to get at the recoil assembly behind the receiver. But yah, if you need to mess with that, buy a case worth of really good "bribing beer" and call a friend. A really good friend.
