What is the accepted definition of a "Fudd Gun" and the expected accessories that come with it?

Best to reply with pics if possible, general thoughts and experience, but please avoid any "Fudd vs Mall Ninja" lines of conversation in order to keep this thread on a positive note.

Fudd gun, to me, having seen and hunted with many folks who, if they were here, would be defined as 'Fudds', could be any rifle, or shotgun, in any cartridge that does not require reloading. But mostly one that is little used, as the 'Fudds' I hunted with tended to get their rifle out once a year to hunt with, often not fired at all during the season, and never sighted in since new. One guy had his rifle, and it was a rifle that shot very well, (we did get him to a target) bore sighted by a gunsmith, because he read somewhere it was a good idea. He assumed that meant it was now deadly accurate and needed nothing further. Of course that meant he undershot the next deer he got a chance at, and blamed the gunsmith for it. Not understanding what bore sighting means.
Such rifles can be beautiful barely used specimens, or, they can be little cared for rifles that shine on the outside but are corroded on the inside.

What possible motivation could you have for posting such a click bait question that denies the possibility of the inevitable Fudd vs Mall Ninja lines of conversation?

Fudd gun is like sniper rifle. It is not defined by what it is, but by who owns it. In the time of sharpened sticks, a fletched arrow would have been a snipers weapon.

You can't define Fudd gun without defining Fudd. Ergo, this thread is dooomed.

But since I am here, to answer your question a puritanical definition of a Fudd gun is: a shotgun, either single barrel or SxS, of unspecified gauge, muzzle loaded with no externally visible mechanisms, single trigger, wood stock. Only accessory it comes with is one times ACME Militia Round which upon firing deploys a wooden dowel with a red flag affixed on the end inscribed with the word "Bang".

As seen Here. http://www.cartoonbucket.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/Elmer-Fudd-Loading-His-Gun-ngo9018.jpg

Fudd Gun. Noun. Any gun seen carried by Elmer Fudd.

Something like this? With a set of 10,000$ NVGS.

Deer or other hunters don't see you coming till it is to late. This FUDD gun can only be used if you live in the u.s, as we are not trusted to hunt with this or use suppressors.

There is no such thing as a "Fudd gun". FUDD is an attitude from a gun owner towards other gun owners and their choice of firearms.

FUDDS are well know to despise synthetic material, restricted firearms and pistols while justifying their position by stating the following:

-one cannot hunt with these type of firearms
-who needs X firearms
-who needs X amount of firearms and/or ammo
-who needs pistols
-these weapons are made to kill

They also excel in the "Under the bus throw" of other gun owners. As long as what they own isn't in the sights of the upcoming bans, they do not care that YOU lose your legally acquired and peacefuly owned property, as long as they get to keep theirs.

They will also go out of their ways to annoy other shooters at the range for the following reasons:

-shooting too fast
-shooting silhouette targets or anything that isnt round
-shooter using LAR15/BEO magazines
-users of muzzle brakes
-shooting the SKS
-some will even call authorities on fellow gun owners for no reasons

They will call other shooters name and actually mean it:

-dumb rednecks
-knuckle draggers
-mall ninjas
-tacticools

For a reference, research CLAYBUSTER olds post to find out about the FUDD attitude.

As a conclusion, there is no "FUDD firearms", only people can be FUDDs

To me a Fudd gun is more defined by the person than the object. Defined also in politics, as the opposite of what is currently being demonized.

Since Fudds are willing to throw other gun owners under the bus with comments like " you cant hunt with a Ar15" and the media and libranos are focusing on "handguns and assault weapons ". A Fudd would not have a black rifle, pistol, or for that matter any recent milsurp. Absolutely does not have a Rpal.

How about a non semi, break action shotgun, true muzzleloader, 40 year old well scared bolt action big game rifle usually blued and walnut ( possibly a legacy from a family member). For rimfire a Cooey or Lakefield Mossberg. Ammunition would be factory, usually purchased before GST. Any optics would be next to worthless on the EE.

This thread is about What Is A FUDD GUN not what is a Fudd...stick with the topic guys!

What are you trying to achieve here exactly ? What is your goal with this useless devisive thread ?

There is no such thing a designated fudd gun, its the attitude of a gun owner that makes him a fudd who owns firearms
