I'm waiting on my Dominion arms 'Outlaw' and I have plans for a pretty complete teardown for inspection/repair of fit & finish.
Apparently these are shipping with an overabundance of packing 'oil'. I was planning to use a degreaser such as BrakeKleen or similar product with a ton of rags to assist in its removal. The blueing has been described as 'very deep' (see link below), but I still have some concerns as to what an industrial product like BrakeKleen will do to it.
Any thoughts or alternative product suggestions? Special procedures to follow? Should I start with a commercial parts cleaner/sink running conventional solvent though its pump?

TIA.
