Delivery guy asked for PAL?

I was under the impression that legally you can only ship firearms through Canada post?

Yeah, that's not the case. I don't know if they even ship firearms. Most stores I have dealt with use many other couriers but not Canada Post.

Individuals are required to ship via Canada post businesses are not. There are two sets of laws one for businesses and one for individuals.

I'm sure even without me telling my postal worker I own guns, the semi frequent letters they deliver from the RCMP Firearms Program are kind of a give away. Either way I'm not worried about it, but I do live in a rural area so you'd have a hard time finding a house without a gun (just how we like it).

I told one guy they were spark plugs for a gas powered dildo and left it at that... As he walked away my wife and about six of the woman from the kid's school walked up; and all I said after that was: "What do you think house wives do during the day?" and walked in behind them.

Now that, I like.

Now take note guys, this is how you shine someone on.

My stock answer is always auto parts, or "something from EBay"

Your stock answer should be .... "Its NONE of your faacking business!" These people are paid to deliver the mail. Being a nosey nelly is NOT part of the job and they need to learn that. If you give them an answer, any answer they will keep asking when they really should be keeping their nose out of other people's business.

Really! Every business that has ever shipped me a firearm has done so through Canada post. In the following link from the rcmp it only mentions Canada post.

Not sure if that's the law under the firearms act but it's the one recommended by the rcmp and the cfo.
Couriers of all Kinds can ship firearms and ammo. Restricted firearms on the other hand are shipped via Canada post.

Not correct. My handgun was sent via Loomis (or DHL). I believe another poster was correct when he said that businesses can send through different courriers.

Yeah. Guess it depends on the shipper. I recently ordered from sfrc and wanted ups. They upgraded to cp due to restricted? Like everything else to due with firearms.....no consistency. Lol carry on.

Well I spoke with the supervisor. The woman assured me that the driver had been spoken to and was cautioned not to repeat his actions again. That's all I wanted so I will chalk this one up to a learning experience.
