I like that you tried the S&B scopes and were impressed. Cost aside they are too heavy for my applications. That said, the march is my unicorn scope for my coyote gun. There is a new model releasing this spring, the same model you bought but 52mm objective, available in SFP or FFP. The eyebox is supposed to be a little finicky at full power, the 52mm will improve that a bit. The heaviest version with illumination is just over 24 ounces. Except for the $3000+ price tag, I think that these are the best blend of euro quality glass, decent toughness, light weight. I'm looking forward to seeing your review!

I hesitated between the 42 and the 52, at the end, i figured out, this scope may end up on one of my AR or my NM for sometimes and in that case 42 will be more at home, i also inquired about the 1X8X24 FFP MOA... Could be an option in the future... JP.

He took many, many thousands of dollars from me too, but not as you may think he did.
Hopefully the legal system will correct this.

....

Not worth it.

Actually it is worth it ---- if you have a legal matter before the courts let them decide the outcome, leave things out of the court of public opinion, one would figure after all the years everyone has been on this forum we would know better...

This is quite an unprofessional comment coming from a supporting dealer. There is a time to listen and a time to speak, not sure this was the time to speak.

Caramel,I'm looking forward to seeing a range report on this gun/scope combo...hopefully the weather will give you a chance to give it a try soon.

My Deon March should be here by the end of the month, we got nice days in the month of March, should be able to go to the local range for 200 yards or less shooting, for longer distances, it could be early May or after i am back from France in June... JP.

I HATE seeing innocent people get ripped off. I see plenty of threads about bad experiences with dealer X or dealer Y and everyone is enraged. And simply because someone had info and chose to remain quiet rather than to bring to light what they know, this continues.
I mention this simply to raise awareness. Exactly as I raised the Swiss Arms issue many months ago.

This action is public knowledge, all legal actions are. I seriously doubt anyone has bothered to look into the background or pending actions of any company they deal with, yet the net is ablaze with guys claiming they were ripped off by someone taking the money and fading from the scene. I am not saying this WILL happen here, simply sharing info that a smart consumer may want to follow up on so as to proactively cover their assets.
Anytime a small business has very limited contact info, no fixed location, and no way to physically get ahold of the party the alarm bells should be deafening. Add to that, that it is a part time enterprise and has significant legal bills to cover the potential for bad things to occurr escalates.

So my question is when information is known about something, especially on a forum all about sharing information, how is sharing information that could save someone a significant loss unprofessional or bad?

Then share the specific information, rather than 'eluding to or inuendo'. March products are second to none, and that is what this thread is about, not all the riffraff in the retail world, of which there is plenty. If you know someone is intentionally taking money from customers running and hiding, and is part of this shooting community then by all means lay it out. Deon/March won't put up with that behaviour either, as they are intent on selling products AND building their reputation in the shooting world as being the BEST optic out there. That is there goal.

This latest post is now venting and shows you are bitter that you have to pay fixed costs, the next guy selling products may not have. It really all comes across as sour grapes, and like your first post, this last one is unprofessional and maybe even more so than the first.

If you have a beef, then lay it out for all to see, otherwise, stay to the topic at hand. Thats all.

Op terribly sorry for the hi-jack

Wow, you would think a moderator would come in delete these comments or something, but because ATRS is a sponsor this is allowed? I posted about a US distributor shipping to Canada and got a PM warning me not to and my comment deleted. ATRS can slam a vendor on a thread talking about a positive dealing and nothing happens? That is pretty strange. I don't really know, but if I had to guess I bet it would have to do with Spartan designing the AICS knock of chassis for the Savage and then quitting ATRS and taking the design with him and continuing to sell it.

Lets see how long this comment lasts.

IBTL!!
