I wrote to Derya Arms in Turkeyusing their factory contact email - see copy below:
"Dear Sir
Is it safe to fire 3”"inch shells from the Derya Mk10 ?
I have just received my new Derya Mk10 black shotgun.
The barrel on my shotgun states that it uses only 2 3/4 inch shot shells ( not 3” shells )
The company I bought it from in Canada states that it is for both 2 3/4” and 3” shot shells, and so does all other Canadian retailers selling this shotgun.
The same shotgun reviewed by Caliber Magazine here in Canada stated on the barrel 2 3/4” and 3” shells. There is a photo of this detail of the barrel in the magazine review.
Has there been a change in the shell size recommended for this shotgun ? Are there 2 versions ( one for only 2 3/4 inch and one for both 2 3/4 inch and 3”" inch shells ) ?
My question is : can I use 3” inch shells (either shot or slugs) in this gun or is it only safe to use 2 3/4 inch and NOT 3 inch shells.
Thank you for your time to reply to my email."
Here is the reply:
"Hello,
We do not recommend to shoot 3” Shells with the MK-10.
Thank you.
Yours Sincerely
