Derya mk10 shotgun

I wrote to Derya Arms in Turkeyusing their factory contact email - see copy below:
"Dear Sir
Is it safe to fire 3”"inch shells from the Derya Mk10 ?
I have just received my new Derya Mk10 black shotgun.
The barrel on my shotgun states that it uses only 2 3/4 inch shot shells ( not 3” shells )
The company I bought it from in Canada states that it is for both 2 3/4” and 3” shot shells, and so does all other Canadian retailers selling this shotgun.
The same shotgun reviewed by Caliber Magazine here in Canada stated on the barrel 2 3/4” and 3” shells. There is a photo of this detail of the barrel in the magazine review.
Has there been a change in the shell size recommended for this shotgun ? Are there 2 versions ( one for only 2 3/4 inch and one for both 2 3/4 inch and 3”" inch shells ) ?
My question is : can I use 3” inch shells (either shot or slugs) in this gun or is it only safe to use 2 3/4 inch and NOT 3 inch shells.
Thank you for your time to reply to my email."

Here is the reply:
"Hello,

We do not recommend to shoot 3” Shells with the MK-10.

Thank you.

Yours Sincerely

They replied almost immediately.
This has important warranty and legal implications. TAKE NOTE DeryaMK 10 owners !

Just checked out their web site. These shotguns are only advertised with 2 3/4" shells.

Hey guys,

It looks like the first shipment was marked 2 3/4" and 3" on barrel but the most recent has been 2 3/4" only.

To be honest it's not something that we check on each firearm, each shipment. Once we were informed we changed description for the new ones. Our description originally stated 3".

Any questions please let me know.

Nick

(P.S. and add on, I would shoot whatever your barrel states.)

All the videos I've watched show them fail on light target loads sadly.

I've put through about 200 rounds of DA low recoil slugs and another 250 rounds of S&B slugs and get maybe 1 per 75. However when it was minus 30 freezing my ass off during Family Weekend I was getting 1-2 per box (1 for first box and 2 for second box).

Have not fed any field or trap loads through it yet. Probably won't either because I didn't buy this shotgun for use on the trap range, I have an over and under for that.

Can you post all the videos you have watched, the ones I've seen on YouTube don't show these failures or types of loads that are used.

Well here is an update. Went to the range earlier in the week to try some field load op flex and Canadianbaconpancakes you folks are bang on. Decided to sell mine as well.

I also have one and have put roughly the same amount of rounds through it. I have only one successful mag through it without any problems. I have cleaned it and looked for any thing that might be causing it not to work, all three clips are the same, nothing works.. I would stay away from this gun , if you've pre ordered one cancel it, they look cool but are not worth the money .. more bad reviews will come as more are sold .. wish I waited for more reviews

I have about 80 rounds through mine. First box was walmart federals. Wouldnt cycle a full mag. Any other ammo I have tried has ran flawless. I mostly run Score steel birdshot or their slugs. All mags drop free. Mine has never jamed inserting the mag. It will unload a mag as fast as I can pull the trigger.

I really like shooting this shotgun. I am looking for something to replace the sights.

Dun dun dun mine shows up tomorrow! 250rd federal 00 buck and 100rd of slugs, we will see what breaks first.... The rifle, my shoulder or my patients of nothing feeding lol I also bought tons of spare mags, you know just in case.

Give us an update of how it goes after you beat the hell out of it with some high pressure loads. Take some photos if things break so we can see.
