Come on in gents. Let's talk Derya's. Just picked a very lightly-used one last Thursday. Isn't even broken in yet. I'm super excited so far. Can't wait to take it out and shoot it. Still not sure about the sights though.

have one in camo, its a shot gun, sights only matter for slugs, 00buck and slugs run fine, make sure its all clean ( factory oil is gooey ) mine also runs the 24gr 1400fps challenger international target load which is a light load but the heat on it cycles....fun gun....make sure everything is tight

They are nice guns I do like mine although I havent shot it much. I want to try slugs in it as the one I have likes to stove pipe the third or fourth shot. I just use light target loads though
The $599 price is for the older versions of the derya, not sure what mine is it looks identical to the one the OP has, same case and accessories.
My biggest issue with it is that i am a left hand shooter and the safety selector digs into my hand which is quite painful and not sure how to fix the problem? It would be nice if the switch was up for safety off rather then down so it wouldnt dig in to my hand. The way its keyed to the internals I cant move it either.

ima lefty too, i just move my hand down a little more and make sure i am clear of it, have encountered that issue as well man ....

I was thinking of using my dremel tool and making the safety selector a little shorter so it has less chance to dig in to my hand. I find after a few shots my hand is rubbing on the selector again if I hold my hand down more. A good set of gloves would probably help too.

i havent used the other chokes thus far only the breacher choke w/ slugs 00buck bbb steel goose load and challenger international 24gr target loads at 1400 fps.......all seem to work well but have had maybe 6 or 7 hang ups in the 140 rnds or so

Does anyone know the difference between the Gen 1 and the Gen 2 ?
Are there certain characteristics / design differences that make the Gen 2 have a $400 or $500 difference in price? Have seen Gen 1 selling for $599 and Gen 2 for $1100 range

Is this just a "newer is better" or is there some new fundamental differences??

Just curious...

The gen 1's for $599 were kind of a "sell off deal". Normally they are $1000-$1100.
I believe they modified the gas system slightly on the gen 2's, and changed the stock.

I just bought one of the gen 1's this morning from 'the ammo source'. I cant wait until it arives. Im going to buy a pellican case for it and make a foam cutout sheet like the gen 2's have but with a hard case.

And i think the gen 2's have the mag issue fixed ( seating too deep with make it stick) and also the gas system so it cycle lighter loads better. It also may have the feed issue for 3" sheels from the.mag fixed.

I noticed one has 5 notches, one has 3, and one has 1

The chokes that come with it are garbage. Go buy some pattern master or other high end brand choke set. They run between 50-125$ a choke but worth their weight in gold. Turn a crap pattern gun into a tack driver (as far as shotguns go) anything labeled Benelli/berreta Mobil chokes work.

if anyone gets one, make sure you clean it well before taking it out....the factory oil that comes all threw it from the factory is very thick n sticky.....clean all that out first before firing....

My buddy and I each got a Gen1 from SFRC. It was too good a deal to pass up.

After 4 shots my stock broke. Must have been a flaw or it was damaged in transit. So I put on the holding stock adapter to replace the broken part and went back to shooting. Tried trap loads,OO, slugs and some 3" goose loads and they all seemed to work ok.

I tried a couple of magazines for my MKA1919 and they seem to work ok as well.

I took the breacher brake off as it just adds length and weight and looks like it will snag on stuff. Looks evil though. I bought this primarily as a home/livestock defense from wildlife gun, so with the folding stock, no breacher it fits into a compact cabinet, and is actually shorter than my 14" pump action which is getting retired. Instead of having to load up one shell st a time for a pump,I can assess the threat and grab a magazine with appropriate ammo. (Bear-slugs. Yote-buckshot. Raccoon- BBs. Etc)

I might look for one of the pattern master chokes for a tight buckshot pattern, too.

Apart from the stock adapter hiccup, I'm pleased with this gun, especially for the price.

Buddy had no stock problem and his ran fine too. Just need to find some more mags.
