Derya TM22 owners only please

I agree with everything said. Great trigger, reliable, pretty accurate. I got mine on sale for like $400 so there was no way I was loosing. I only run the plated ammo and it’s pretty accurate out to 100 with a Bushnell red dot. If I have one gripe it’s no last round hold open. As soon as you eject the mag it lets the bolt go. I have about 700ish through mine.

I have mine in OD green and have the buffer tube issue. Sent an email to O'Dell Engineering and received the free parts to correct the problem. Less than 10 minutes to replace all the parts. I put a Vortex Crossfire red dot on mine. Besides looking good, well built, very accurate, reliable, easy to take apart and clean. To make it look even better, I installed a flash hider and will install a Dlask charging handle in the future. Have fired about 300-400 rounds, I used Blazer high velocity ammo and have no issues at all, but doesn't like Federal Automatch as much. I love the rifle and pretty sure your son will too. Enjoy.

BTW, SFRC have their 15% off sale using the code "HUNT" until Nov. 5. Also free shipping for anything over $249. Notice you are in BC, I bought mine from Reliable and they came just $25 short of matching a sales price in Ontario, so bought local.

This is how we set up my son's (I've posted these before). I put an A2 stock on it, he wanted a can, so that's what we ended up with.

Lots of people say they like the trigger but that's the one thing I don't care for on this rifle. You get used to it though.

It's pretty accurate, shooting from a bench with a Harris bipod I've found it's pretty consistent but you need to use decent ammo.

We removed the handguard collar to see if it would improve accuracy but it didn't seem to make a huge difference. And I wouldn't put too much strain on the handguard without it, it's not the most solid connection at the receiver end.

My TM22 has been GREAT!!! Zombies beware... LOL

Only mods are a Romeo5 red dot sight & Dlask AR15 flash hider. Good fun gun!

I have the all metal TM-22, as well as the Feather I got from IRG. Both are great guns. The Feather was way cheaper, is super light, and it's basically the polymer version of the all metal one, but I think it'd be too late to consider the Feather as you'd have to import since last time I checked they're sold out at the Canadian store. Very similar design but different recoil buffer/buffer tube setup.

SFRC has a sale on right now 14% site wide with free shipping over $200 with coupon code and they always have the best price on the all metal Derya. They only have flat dark earth, red, and blue right now though. The adjustable stock is perfect for smaller shooters, and the current rifles shipping out from SFRC have the updated/improved buffer setup. A friend ordered his several months ago from them and his was updated. Magazines are not expensive for these guns, especially if you know where and when to shop. They're probably on sale elsewhere as well. Last time I looked IRG had the black ones with the fixed stock in stock.

Warrantied by Odell which is another plus.

Definitely an impressive first gun for the money.

im pretty sure even if its not listed on IRG.ca but still on IRG.com . they will be able to bring them in for you. the feather is US$210 and the all metal short handguard is US$313.

In response to your pm, here are a couple pics of the fake can on our rifle. The od of the can is roughly 30mm, and the id of the handguard is 35mm, so if your reverse can is long similar it should fit inside if you are going with a shorter barrel.

I couldn't figure out how to attach images in a pm......

Very much appreciated thank you. Those pictures are exactly what I needed. Heading down to the Lower Mainland(BC) to grab the rifle today.

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts. I’m
confident this will be fun build for us

I had one for a year and let it go. It was in basically the same configuration as Jay's rifle in the pics above. It was great. Probably put somewhere north of 1500 rounds through it without any cleaning. I wanted to see how far I could get it to go before it started choking.

The only thing I could complain about was the ass backwards safety. But I've been told newer models have had that issue remedied. I upgraded the charging handle to the Dlask one and didn't like it. It was too big for me and dug into me when the rifle was slung and I was on the move. Very uncomfortable for carrying the rifle in the front or at the side. So I went back to the standard sized one.

Overall, I really enjoyed owning one. But I flipped it to fund another purchase. A S&W FPC. That thing's been pretty awesome too.

I notice you have the Vortex system on yours, any problems or “wish you would have done something else”
Its a sig saurer Romeo 5x and a older vortex magnifier. Both work great for the setup and can flip away for close up. I had tried some cheaper regular red dots and i was having issues sighting or getting anything accurate after 25 yards. The sig saurer always goes onsale for under $200 at cabelas so i would recommend it.

Tactical imports sells the featherweight model that is more unique and less common in Canada.
Pros: half the cost(at least when I bought it), half the weight, classic M4 looks, runs the same as the more costly model.
Cons: just about every inch of non critical parts is made with polymer not aluminum, the buffer tube is permanent and commercial spec(slim stock options) the front sight is hit or miss if it will be aligned properly when removed and reinstalled.

tactical imports? i think you meant Irunguns. the feather was listed last week in the US for US$210 but no longer listed this week. maybe obsolete.

the TM22 Standard model at US$105 is still a good buy but its polymer.

Hey here’s a twist … anyone have a full length handguard ( any Color ) that they will never use again ? I’d love to purchase that from you if so.

This is my current set up. I may put an AFG on it.

It's been great for small game. Reliable. Better built than I was expecting.

The one issue I've had is when cleaning time comes around. You have to remove the scope , at least on my scope, to open the action and get the bolt out.

That being said, I've only had to do that once.

Great little rifle, no issues recommending it.
