Desert Eagles

I chose the .44 due to the sheer cost of feeding the .50!

The problem right now is finding one, I tried every site vendor and the either had nothing in stock at that time or only .50AE in stock. Almost every place told me the same thing, Late Spring arrival.

I got my .44 Mag in black oxide from a place in Edmonton. Great price (for Canada) and they had a no tax sale. Under one week and I had it in my hot little hands.

Good luck!

That and Armand will usually ship for free if you ask nicely lol

You guys are forgetting we live in canada, and 13% tax applies, plus shipping (sometimes), and usually a small handling fee.

So at badger you have it for 620, plus 13 percent (around 80 bucks)
At a minimum base price your still looking at 700 - 750 out the door.
I new I paid that much :D

Good call, forgot about that whole tax thing, lol:HR:! Your deal sounds better thinking about it that way.

That's why I don't live in Bantario. Only 5% here. I would never buy on EE to save $50, also no handling fee shipping is $18 or free for repeat customers with a free mag. But anyways GLWS.

IMO dont buy one to shoot thousands of rounds through a year...its not that type of gun. bring it out occasionally to show it off and let people have a go and enjoy the sheer size and awesomeness of it.

because of this, dont settle for anything less than the 50AE as you will always know that there is something bigger and better if you wimp out on a 44 or 357.

Lastly...welcome to the canadian gun industry...unless you are importing a 1000 glock 17s at a time, there will be a noticeable difference in cost over the US. If you think you can score a better deal by buying south and importing up here...be my guest...but in the meantime, there are a hundred threads #####ing about the same price differences..and they arent going to change!

This is addressed many times on this board, actually. Besides exchange rate and different pricing by manufacturer for international sales, there are extra costs on importers for bringing them in such as paperwork and international shipping. These things add up and are reflected in the price. Don't forget, a profit has to be made not only in recovering the cost of purchasing the firearms, but storage, utilities and wages.

Best way to get a sense of all this is to try and import firearms or even something toyish like BB guns. Bureaucratic nightmare.

x2^^ this has been discussed to no end, just use the search function. It all comes down to extra costs of importing etc and time for paper work, any gun you get in Canada will probably cost more than in the U.S. Just the way it is.

It doesn't cost that much. Prophet river or Dave's sport will import a pistol for 200-250$, + import tax (7% if it's not us made) + Taxes (TPS only or maybe HST). You're in for ~350-400$ fees total. Totally worth it for a pistol like that. OP should contact importers and get some info to get an idea of the process and fees. It's easier than one would think.
