Looks like this is FINALLY coming to market in the lower 48 this year - so I guess we should see it up here in a decade or two. All the same, desert tech accuracy on a .308 bullpup is pretty exciting if you could buy one with an 18.5 in barrel (even if it cost your first born and a kidney). I wonder if either Calgary Shooting Center or Prairie Gun traders have talked to DT about getting them across the border? Or a Canadian, "DMR" version?

These honestly have more potential than any other black rifle on the market. All the ergos are right, trigger looks to be excellent, accuracy potential is high, quick change calibers (.223 and .308 parent case options in the same platform!!!), I mean if it runs reliably and lives up to the accuracy we expect from DT (although we musn't expect bolt accuracy from a semi) I honestly cant find a single technical design flaw or room for improvement on this rifle anywhere.

It will be revolutionary and in my opinion might be one of the first worth while considerations for replacing the US Military's several dated platforms.

I really hope these are the holy grail for black rifles in Canada that they have the accuracy potential of a quality AR and the same reliability. If and when they come hopefully we can get a 6.8 variant.

It looks good, kinda like someone took an RFB chassis and mated it with a G36 lower and an ACR handguard and an AR mag release. Oh and added the cost of all the guns together and came up with the MSRP. lol

A lot of talk from someone who just fired 100 rounds out of a test model rifle.
I like the caliber change option.

Agreed, accuracy/reliability remain to be proven, though DT's other offerings have been pretty superb. I usually avoid buying first gen anything and let the bugs get worked out on everyone else. Spec sheet and initial reports look promising though.

I've been on a wait list at my local shop now for two years for the day these hit the Canadian market. I have a lot of hope for this one!

But... right now the holy grail at least to me as a huge fan of the DI AR10 rifle design, is.... and I never thought I would ever say this... the NEA/BCL 102. It's a non restricted AR10. If you want accuracy out of a semi auto, then this will be the ticket. Although not confirmed yet, I am pretty much positive it will take AR10 barrels. Which means a Krieger AR10 1:11.25 SS drop in is likely possible.

I really hope so, I also ordered one, even though ive been talking sh!t about NEA for years.
A krieger barrel would be quite sensational

Back on topic, the MDR is still years away from coming here, and hopefully it will come in by a good distributor, aka wolverine and not some nitwit half measure aka north silva.

+1 I couldn't agree with you more.
