detachable SKS magazine in canada?

Just a question, the Tapco or other 5/20 or 30 round mags made for the sks fit perfectly with the tapco stock, however the wood stock would have to be modified (I read). Anyone know how to do this and does the wood stock modification make the factory 5/10 unusable afterwards?

Are the Tapco mags similar to the 858 mags in design?

Which is better (looks, durability, fit, feeding, etc), the Tapco polymer mag or the steel one?

I would like to know this as well...I have been thinking about getting a Metal Mag..do they feed well anybody have experience with using them?

I bought a 5/20 Tapco mag from Section8 and installed it last night along with a larger mag release in about 10 minutes with basic tools. I have a Norinco SKS with a fixed hinged mag. The hardest part was getting the trigger group to snap back into place but placing the rifle on a hard surface and giving it a rap with a hammer and a center punch did the trick.

I have a choate Draganov stock on the rifle and it installed with no issues. The bolt stayed locked back when I pulled the mag. Biggest hassle is releasing the mag and removing with one hand. There is an awkward two finger twist thing I saw on Youtube tthat works but is awkward not having practiced it at all.
