The loooong awaited details!

We are planning on having 5 stages.
Round count for EACH day: 110 rifle, 150 pistol, 80 Shotgun. No slugs needed, shotshells only please.
Important note! The LFGA has prohibited steel core ammo on the range. Your SKS or 858 is welcome, but sorry no surplus ammo can be used. Our rule is, if the bullet sticks to a magnet, it's a no go.
If you have a Precision rifle bring it! There will be a sidematch with distances ranging from 200-300 meters. Winner will receive $50.
You are welcome to shoot one or both days. If you shoot both days you will either need to shoot in a different class or the second day you will just be shooting for fun, no score.
IE. Using the same equipment you may shoot Saturday in Stock and Sunday in Open and compete in both classes. Or break out your rimfire and switch classes. If you shoot in the same class both days only your 1st score will actually count for prizes and awards.
Got kids? Bring them down Friday August 24th at 5PM. They will shoot for FREE! Must be under 18 and sorry we're not a daycare, they must be accompanied by an adult. Guns, ammo and training will be provided.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class as well as door prizes.
If you have any questions feel free to post them here or PM me and I'll answer them as best as I can.
Hi,
Sorry for the dumb question(s) I am about to ask. I have resently started shooting and would like to get involved with some compatitions. I am not sure what I need "Rimfire, Stock. Open" what dose that mean. I need one from each???? Could someone please explain to this dumb nub. I have my AR, My ar 22 and a sig 22. Is this enough or do I need a shotgun as well??
Tim
Note that these are the same dates as Wild Rose 3 Gun Provincials. With so many matches (and thats a good thing) it's hard not to conflict, but I think you would have been better off going on on an IPSC date.
I would probably shoot both but I think Wild Rose has to be shot both days.
Can we shoot all three classes?
TDC

Sure if you think you can shoot fast enough to shoot the match 3 times.![]()
What kind of ranges are we looking at for rimfire rifle? Wondering what optic to bring?
Is it possible to shoot a division and a half per day????
TDC
We have the capacity of seeting targets out to 300 yards, however the majority will be from 3 yards to 100 yards...
300 yards for rimfire? Seriously?
The COF will be the same for all classes. Basically take one shot at them so you don't get a penalty for failure to engage and move on to the ones that are actually possible to hit.
Ah! And the lightbulb turns on! OK, that actually makes sense. I thought maybe you had a special course for the rimfire.
Well you do make a good point, I'll see if we can take out the long shots on that stage for the rimfire folks, but I won't make any promises.
I've asked the Match Director. I'll get back to you with his answer.
I appreciate that. One other question. I'm hoping the use of LAR magazine won't be an issue?
TDC
I would have to think that it is going to depend on the number of competitors. Theoritically it could probably be done. So reply that it might be possible so come prepared just in case.
