We are planning on having 5 stages.
Round count for EACH day: 110 rifle, 150 pistol, 80 Shotgun. No slugs needed, shotshells only please.
Important note! The LFGA has prohibited steel core ammo on the range. Your SKS or 858 is welcome, but sorry no surplus ammo can be used. Our rule is, if the bullet sticks to a magnet, it's a no go.

If you have a Precision rifle bring it! There will be a sidematch with distances ranging from 200-300 meters. Winner will receive $50.

You are welcome to shoot one or both days. If you shoot both days you will either need to shoot in a different class or the second day you will just be shooting for fun, no score.
IE. Using the same equipment you may shoot Saturday in Stock and Sunday in Open and compete in both classes. Or break out your rimfire and switch classes. If you shoot in the same class both days only your 1st score will actually count for prizes and awards.

Got kids? Bring them down Friday August 24th at 5PM. They will shoot for FREE! Must be under 18 and sorry we're not a daycare, they must be accompanied by an adult. Guns, ammo and training will be provided.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class as well as door prizes.

If you have any questions feel free to post them here or PM me and I'll answer them as best as I can.

Also an important note. A Black Badge is NOT required to shoot the match, however safety is always top priority. When you register please let us know if you're a novice and please inform the Range Officer at each stage. We won't look down on you, but we will give you extra instruction and guidence to make sure that everyone goes home with the same amount of holes in them they arrived with!

Hi,
Sorry for the dumb question(s) I am about to ask. I have resently started shooting and would like to get involved with some compatitions. I am not sure what I need "Rimfire, Stock. Open" what dose that mean. I need one from each???? Could someone please explain to this dumb nub. I have my AR, My ar 22 and a sig 22. Is this enough or do I need a shotgun as well??

Tim

Note that these are the same dates as Wild Rose 3 Gun Provincials. With so many matches (and thats a good thing) it's hard not to conflict, but I think you would have been better off going on on an IPSC date.

I would probably shoot both but I think Wild Rose has to be shot both days.

Hi,
Sorry for the dumb question(s) I am about to ask. I have resently started shooting and would like to get involved with some compatitions. I am not sure what I need "Rimfire, Stock. Not a dumb question.

Rimfire, stock or open are the different classes you could shoot in you only need to pick one.

For rimfire you would need a rimfire rifle (semiauto works best), rimfire pistol and any shotgun you like.

For stock you would need a centerfire rifle (semiauto works best), centerfire pistol with iron sights only, no red dots and any shotgun you like.

For open you would need a centerfire rifle (semiauto works best), centerfire pistol with a red dot sight (not required, but it is permitted) and any shotgun you like.

So it sounds like you have a rimfire pistol and rifle, but no shotgun. So you're more than welcome to shoot in the rimfire class with that, however you will need a shotgun. A pump or semiauto works best. If you don't know anyone with one you can borrow, PM me and I'll see what I can wrangle up for you.

I hope my explanation was clear as mud for you. If you have more questions feel free to ask.

Yes it's hard to avoid a conflict. It's inevitable. However I'm an IPSC guy as are most of the other organizers, helpers and RO's. If we held it on an IPSC match weekend there would be no match as no one would be around to run it!

The COF will be the same for all classes. Basically take one shot at them so you don't get a penalty for failure to engage and move on to the ones that are actually possible to hit.

Ah! And the lightbulb turns on! OK, that actually makes sense. I thought maybe you had a special course for the rimfire.

Well you do make a good point, I'll see if we can take out the long shots on that stage for the rimfire folks, but I won't make any promises.

No problem. If you can, replace 'em with doubles on shorter targets so the round count stays the same. If you can't, that's cool too. I was banging a gong at 150 with it last week. :)

I appreciate that. One other question. I'm hoping the use of LAR magazine won't be an issue?

TDC

Nope, but we may have mandatory reloads after 5 rounds on some stages so bring lots of mags.

Here is the answer to your earlier question.

I would have to think that it is going to depend on the number of competitors. Theoritically it could probably be done. So reply that it might be possible so come prepared just in case.
