Dewat AK-74

people are purchasing a bulk deal, and included in that is a free Dewat AK, so for people who don't want to spend $1200.00 and get guns they don't want, they are banking on someone buying the deal and getting a nice kick back by sell an AK to someone who just wants that.

wonder what they will end up selling for?
 
I bet you these dewats will go for a huge premium because they're something different. In reality there are millions of AK-74s around the world and these are deactivated to new standards so no #### and click, no disassembly, if you're REALLY lucky the mag is removable. I wouldn't pay more than $300 for one assuming I was interested.
 
You can keep your $300. There may be millions of AKs around but importing dewat assault rifles into Canada is a No No except may be for Marstar.

As has been quoted in another thread, the cost of dewatting a gun cleanly so it still looks good but meets standards would be $500 to $600. That is the cost to modify an ak74, ballpark. Doesn't include finding one in Canada and buying it first.

They may go for higher than you think. There are 5 WTB ads for ak74s currently.

Mind you, two dewat vz58 just sold in minutes last night for $350 each.
