Did I get scammed on this American Defense Manufacturing mount?

That's BS... The least they should do it leave negative feedback up if it's warranted. I've got screenshots of emails and CGN communications if necessary to provide my case. As well as screenshots of his ad in case mamas boy tries to hide and take it down.

Its sad i may start doing that as well to avoid possible scams or complaints. But iwould hope the admins would have some kind of way to record comms and ad pics/descriptions incase of a dispute?

PMs are just that - private. If there is a problem, you can report PMs, and then the mods and admin can read what you report.
If deletion of an ad is requested, it is "soft deleted". Can't be seen in the EE, but can still be read by mods and admin. Won't be hard deleted for at least a month, just in case problems arise.
It is very important to leave feedback. If there is a problem, make sure that there is an explanation. If a member feels that feedback is wrong, report it. Note that a seller can rarely leave negative feedback.
The mods and admin do not mediate "He said - He said" disagreements. We have no way of knowing exactly what happened.
Read and understand the rules governing use of the EE.

note the OP's feedback has a negative rating from the seller..... and yet when the op left negative feedback it got deleted. plus the negative feedback reads "he posted a mean thread and called my mommy".... are the mod's going to deal with that ?

Wow this thing is getting interesting! I hope the mods leave it up long enough for everyone to see how this seller is operating. Interesting that he has a decent rating.

At this point I don't think he has much to rebut. I spoke to the sellers mother and he used her house as a return address. He hung his own mother out to dry all for a measly $200.00.

jza, the money is one thing the other is trust , pure plain and simple.
I have placed the guy who left you the negative feedback on ignore for my own peice of mind.
No need to read from a guy who has allegedly scammed another member here on CGN.
Did this helkp you in any way, I doubt it, but I know not to deal with this person..until such time as the mods feel the problem has been resolved to the guidlines of CGN and the affected member.
He tossed his mommy under the bus, wow big boy sheesh.

Judging by all his FS ads, the scammer cannot even use his own pictures.

He should be banned from selling on the EE.

OP I would report the feedback.

We can all report him for breaking rule 11 of the EE.

My thoughts exactly. At this point I'm positive he had il intent. I'm waiting to hear back from Triaq but I will just leave him the feedback he deserves and chalk it up as a lesson learned.

It's too bad that CGN doesn't review these and ban offending users. They're a disgrace to us all.

If you file a fraud report, that report can be used as the basis for CGN Admin to remove the offending member's EE access.

Please do so.

Jay

I guess his mom let him know I was looking for him and he left me that feedback. All I asked him for is a refund and he could have his mount back.

I just checked out OPS trader rating. It looks like his seller for this item left a negative feedback today (in contravention of this sites rukes) so if anyone wants to know the scammed name just look at ops only negative feedback.

I dont typically get involved in these threads, but I have a question for the Mods: why has OP's trader rating been removed, but the seller's was not? This is the second time this seller has left a negative as a seller and yet as I understand it sellers may not under normal circumstances post a negative. This looks bad on the Admin and Mod team if you ask me.

Likely he will be told it's a civil matter. As there is no way to determine intent or the elements of fraud as required under the Criminal Code.

Does the outcome matter for a CGN decision regarding EE access? Because anyone can make a report as long as it's not clearly public mischief. It doesn't validate the claim. In this case I don't think the OP will get anywhere other than told it's a Civil Matter with filing a report to the police. Small claims court is really his only real option that I can see based on the circumstances provided.

That wasn't the op that said he had his rating removed. It was someone else saying they had a similar problem.

Call the Cops - you paid money for X, but he knowingly sold you Y. Just as serious as if you bought a BMV, and received a Fiat. Once the police report is lodged, take him to small claims court, then have the CGN admins fix his account.

You were deliberately screwed over - consider yourself lucky you got a box in the mail at all. Go get him.

That's rather hilarious that you think the cops will do anything.

Give him negative feedback, name him here, why not? Lesson learned and move on.

Maybe you can even still use the item? Or sell it for $50?

FWIW I also think it looks odd, to say the least, that OP negative feedback is still there and the POS seller neg feedback was remove, wtf is that?

They can't. There is this thing called the law. The elements of the offence are clearly written in the Criminal Code. Along with case law and the burden to prove those elements of the offence. Not just suspect.

This is where, civil law such as small claims court, doesn't require anywhere near the burden of proof as Criminal Court/Law. But.. for $200 let's face it, most of us are just going to eat it and move on rather than take a day off work etc and cost us even more.

I agree with the feedback and either using the item if the seller won't refund/take it back.
