Did you know? 14 ROUNDS LEGAL

Get a p226, 9mm, using a 40cal mag:

If 9mm works in another 10rd mag designed for another caliber... legal.

I shot an AR-15 9mm in the states, took forever to load the mag, seconds to shoot it. It was 32 or 33 rounds I believe... The AK was more fun.

As this is a bumped 2 year old thread, i'll ask if anyone has used the .40 mag of the M&P in the 9mm? If so, how many can you get in?

Didn't realize the thread was so old. This guy asking about his SVT mag bumped it...

Not sure on the M&P but I can fit 14 9mm in my 40 cal mag for my 226.

Holy RESURRECTION!!!! 14 rounds of 9mm in the M&P40 mag. Does depend if your M&P40 mag is 10.5 or if it is right on 10, if so then 13. Mine, 14.

By 10.5, they mean that there is a little room left over after the pinning to 10rds. Not enough for the 11th to fit, but 1 more 9mm will fit in there. My 40cal mag fits 14rds of 9mm. Some fit 13, these will fit 14.

can anyone comment on extended experience using M&P .40 mags in M&P 9mm?

specifics on capacity, feeding, reliability, any problems and your opinion if it is worth the trouble?

Only had a chance to try with 2 mags and sadly I wasn't paying a lot of attention. I just remember one held 12 and the other held 13. Both worked properly when shooting but one would vomit rounds if smacked the right way... That's how I recall it but it has been a while. Next time I'm at the range, will try again.
