Diemaco SA Rifle Pics - post 'em here

Lol, I'm going to have one of those icky Eotechs on top of one of my builds hopefully soon.

My Colt Canada family so far:

That bottom one is still a work in progress. And yeah, I know, two of them should probably be sporting Colt USA lowers, but is it me, or are there a lot fewer LE6920 lowers in EE?

I love my Colt Canada, to bad my wallet doesn't. Not on a dedicated CC lower yet....

The one used on the SAS is slightly different from the MRR. Two locking lugs at 3 and 9 o’clock and two hex
Screws on the bottom to secure to the barrel. I have a photo of it at the shop, but here is a photo from the 11.6 MRR

Had to pull the 11.6 MRR and the 15.7 SAS apart to build one of these... just waiting on the bayo lug and C9 flash hider.

If you stripped the 11.6" barrels and swapped them onto the SAS IUR, I bet they'd sell like hotcakes. Then you'd have a batch of 10" MRRs, which I'm sure would sell, and 11.6" CANSOFCOM Clone IURs, which I KNOW will sell.

God dammit, must be so awesome to work at Nordic Marksman. Get to play with all that cool stuff, mix and match at will.

I have seen you referencing the CANSOFCOM IUR, what is the upper chassis they use? The SAS short or long or is it a full pic rail like some of the RCMP get?

Nordic, what colour of Cerakote did you go with? Do you know what CC was going to use on the C8A4? I had to do upper and lower, looked to ghetto to just have the upper.

Magpul OD Green was the color. The same folks who Cerakoted the original Colt Canada C8A4's did this one.

The upper is effectively the same one used on the 10" SAS uppers, however it has no grenade recoil lug, and apparently an 11.6" barrel, also with an OPS INC collar extender and an SEI Vortex threaded flash hider to interface with the OPS INC suppressor.

Actually, with the 11.6" barrel, it would probably not be the extender, but the sleeve.

Here are some side by side photos of the gas blocks from the 11.6" MRR and the 10" SAS rifles. The SAS is much more robust.
The SAS one is on the top in the photos below...

And here are the barrels. The SAS one has a coating to prevent rust...

Thanks for the photos! What is the function of the screw on the SAS block?

It just allows access to the end of the gas tube. The gas tube is the same length on these, and the gas block is longer on the SAS, the hex screw on the front when removed
will allow you to access the end of the gas tube and allow easy removal of the tube necessary. As its a straight gas tube, you could push it out
for easier maintenance.
