I guess I like strange or wierd guns, I just completed refininishg the wood on a Swedish Husqvarna Mod 17 shotgun, rebounding external hammers, totally metal forend which is a pivioting lever to allow release of barrels to break for loading.
I also have a Charlin 16ga, made sometimes between the big wars, and a little 28 ga Darne made in the early 1970's. Both of these are French sliding breech models. The Charlin while not as strong as the Darne due to lock up differences is the smoothest best fitting action I have seen in a shotgun. The breech slids on hidden spring loaded ball bearings, and external engraving matches up perfectly at the instant of lock up.
