Dilemma what to do, what to do

Find a female who doesn't shoot, start over, get yourself the fancy gun. Sheesh, whats with guys getting their women into the hunting and shooting sports..... we spend enough time with them as it is!!!

I say get a new wife! Why is she cutting into your pie? haha! Just kidding of course.

I say option 2 and then eventually bling up the AR or just put in the diff and get the AR you want AND the Kimber for the wifey. :)

Get her the Kimber and an LMT for yourself...otherwise pony up some extra scratch and get the KAC or even a Noveske with that sweet GenII lower.

Follow kevins advice & TDCs, get her "something" and yourself something to. That way you're both tickled and have fun. :)

I believe that would be the "diplomatic" solution. Its all about future votes right, and buttering up the voters(the wife) is in everyone's best interest.;)

M&P 9?

I'm a 1911 guy, but they are maintenance hogs if you shoot a lot. And Drop In Parts aren't... also the 9mm 1911's never do as well as their .45 brothers all else being equal.

I'm just trying to be the voice of reason, by all means accomodate her -- least you look around and your pistol is now hers.

The plan is to show her a bunch of different types of guns and first get her to see what she thinks she likes to look at, after which i'll get her to hold a couple of them, right now she wants a stainless model, i am going to get her to hold mine and see the weight right there might make her change her mind on stainless 1911.

50 who has a 1911 Sig in a 9mm in stainless?

For Sig product, I always use Questar. I'm not too sure of their stock right now, but I ordered two Sig pistols from them last year and the time frame was about 6 weeks total. They order directly from Sig, so it helps in terms of availability and time frame...

BTW I love my Sig 1911 smooth as butter, and the lines are damn ###y.

I agree they are good looking guns, and i am sure the wife would be interested in one, I see they are on preorder, as its not a rush to get her one, if she likes it, it might be a front runner, thanks 50

By the wife the Kimber and it won't be a hard sell for you to spend a little extra to get something really nice like a Noveske.

I'm going to agree with most others. Buy her a pistol and buy the AR upper you want and build from there.
Good idea to get her to see and shoot various pistols and then decide. She will probably shoot more with a gun that fits her.
I have a Kimber Stainless target 2 in 9mm and I swear my M&P in .45 feels like a softer shooter. I'd try to talk her into a Golob M&P. More money for your goodies! If she can shoot both and still wants a 1911....then a stainless girlie gripped 1911 it is.

Happy wife, Happy life.

As much as this is a "thank you" from your firend, it is also no different than a "consulting feee" that you earned, just like your pay cheque ...
