I was reading an FAQ on Brian Enos forum and saw something that caught my eye, so I tried it and surprise, surprise it works.

The 1050 spent primer catcher sucks the BIG one. I had removed it and used a funnel and a piece of clear hose to ferry the primers away. It left a little to be desired but worked.

This mod involves cutting the case head from a .223 case (i used a Remington), placing an appropriate size and length of clear tubing on the cut end, and jamming the case neck into the ejection hole on the press.

good mod, my older 1050 works good with the metal bin for spent primers.

man I coughed up a lung laughing at 757's post.

i miss my 1050 I want this thing over and done so I can start shooting again.............

I can't talk about it but I can say we made it past another hurdle and things are back on track......

Gee that is exactly what comes standard on my LNL AP...

A nice clean tube to take away the spent primers. Not like the Lee that gathered them so they fell on the floor and you step on them with bare feet!

Another good mod it to cut off a hex key and put it in the pivot pin for the priming system. This is then held in place by a piece of all round on one of the bolts for the swage set up. Keeps the pin from backing out. One of the few problems with a 1050.

There is also another mod for the primer system for the tubing and the pins for carrier but I don't remember but what it was.. copper or brass shims ring a bell

Pics Andy?

The tube set up works great on a 650 too. Just be sure to look under your station 1 locator to be sure no primers build up under your decapping pin.;)
