I am sure the Dillon line is a bad ass quality press, but useless if you can't buy it.
Almost two years ago I wanted to start reloading 9mm and I was looking around. Everyone said spend the extra $$$ and get a Dillon. Okay. But none were to be found, even to this day I'm told some parts are 1.5 years backordered. If you find the press, you can't get the dies, if you find dies, shell holder is not available, etc.
I gave up and bought a brand new Hornady Progressive AP with all the bells and whistles. Why? Because they were available in stores! Hornady secured their supply chains to ensure they keep up. The press works amazing and I am very pleased with it, it's no Dillon though. I will reconsider when Dillon decides to actually meet the demand and secure a decent supply chain. Assuming they are a few years away. Good engineering and design, bad executive leadership.
