Curtton, can you please measure the lenght of pull on that gun?
(lenght from the shoulder pad to the trigger).

After you guys are done with the turkey leftovers and the beer and whatnot,
maybe one day somebody will have time to look into the possibility
of making a RPK lookalike.
What you need is a RPK buttstock and an AK pistol grip
(chances are that you won't find a 40 rnds VZ mag).
Curtton already has the bipod.
Also, colour of the front guards should match the colour of the shoulder stock
and it should be a lighter tone than the VZ.
Look at a lot of pics on the net before you start the mods
(angle of the butstock and so on).

You can get a VZ drum though. Making an RPK stock would be a snap.

no plans for a vz/cz to RPK but 45ACPKING is working on a much tuffer project , SKS-D to RPK .

I'm in the beginning phase of an SKS D to RPK conversion....... will post her up when she's finally finished
projects like this are so cool

why you asked?.

Because by adapting it on the Vz, you have set the stock forward a bit, so the whole rear of the receiver is closer to the shoulder, compared to a PSL.
(I tried that kind of scope on a Vz with a regular stock
on one of palinak's guns, and for me it is very close to the eye,
but not impossible to use).
So, I tried to imagine how much different your scoped gun would be
compared to the one I have used (that is the reason I asked for the LOP).

I also remember that long time ago, Kasat posted some very good looking mods in that direction.

i wasnt that concern with length to shoulder cos i have an adjustable butt plate, but the original grip was way too thick , even when i set it closer to the trigger it was still impossible to pull the trigger comfortably so i had to take off some more wood from behind the grip. like i said before , with the original grip i have to have ETs long fingers to shoot comfortably .

heres a pic of what the stock looks like on a AK conversion to dragunov romak clone , its un-mod and unfinished. the grip looks very awkward to hold.
