Very nice looking conversion. I was wondering where you got the stock from, went through the post a couple times and did I miss that small detail?
I think that if you are a sniper, and you need your bayonet, you might want to engage your targets from a bit further away.
Nice work Curtton!
Someone with the know how (and the tools) should really make a small run of these side plates...
I'm sure they sell a few (or at least one)
Curtton,Quick question as far as the scope goes, did you guys order the one with the SVD mount or the AK mount?
however, I do not know exactly what other parts I would need to purchase to mount it properly? I think I would prefer an AK mount if it offsets the scope forwards, where would I be able to get that? I would prefer the rubber eye shield as found on curtton's rifle.
all you need is a scope and rail from eastwave.ca , you should order the rail at the same time when ordering the scope, i paid $10 for the rail , the scope package came with manual, bag , rubber cap, rubber eye shade and 2 mini battery .
total was $160 shipped for my 6x24.

the scope you are interested in is the forward mounted 8x42 item #0402.... see page 1 of this thread for other stuffs you need to have it mounted to your rifle.
Tried your ebay source for the stock but they don't have them anymore with the hardware, do you have another source for the hardware?
Hey man, you should start making this "SVD" kit and start selling here, you would make a few $$$ for sure !!!!
