DIY dragunov clones (VZ58L/CZ858)

I bought a couple of those FN L1A1 flash hiders with this same idea in mind. However, not having the necessary tools, nor the will or time to do the modification myself at this moment; and seeing that they are available already modified, I would like to get one. Could you please let me know where I could find one of these modified FN L1A1 flash hiders for $25.00? Thanks.

I know this is a subjective question but if you were to shoot it left handed would you say the scope is in a "comfortable position"? How much off center is the scope?

due to the thin walls of the CZ, when mounting a scope or a red dot you need to use either a bracket or a thick rail so that adds to the off center .

to me a righty , it feel uncomfortable but hey!!! just holding it with my left hand feel uncomfotable so i will take a pic from behind the scope and let you judge for yourself.

Currton can you give me a shot of the mount froom the same angle? I wanna see what it looks like where you mounted the scope to the reciever from this angle.

i havent shot with the scope much so yesterday i noticed that the underside has casing marks, now i have to figure a way to deflect that .

the last dragunov clone

here is the last of my dragunov clone , a tigr .... i think i cloned most of the dragunov on the dragunov.net , except for the SVD with plastic/metal stock bcos the those stocks are expensive and the chinese NDM-86 which essentially is a copy of russian SVD .

the tigr stock was converted from a AK mak-90 thumbhole stock , i had to remove the cheek rest and enlarge the hole .... i stained it red mahogany and sprayed it semi gloss poly . the front handguard are the standard black plastic from www.wolverinesupplies.com or www.vz58.net .

How do you have that. My friend has been trying for years to get anything close to a svd and he couldn't. How did you do it. Wait is that a ak? LOL

Not quite sure what to make of you, alex_m. Overenthusiastic newbie, or something else. Anyway, AK's are illegal in Canada. Just because something *looks* "mean" does not mean that it's particularly powerful. Underneath the clothing, the actual rifle itself isn't anything particularly special, nor illegal. And it's not fully automatic (like the AK). Underneath the (admittedly cool-looking) exterior is a rifle approximately as powerful as the old winchester 30-30 style lever guns. It's just wearing different clothes.

It's the equivalent of an auto enthusiast adding a body kit to his Civic to make it *look* cooler; it doesn't make it a race car.
