Dlask 8.5" Rem 870

My 8.5 showed up in the mail today:dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana::dancingbanana:
Does anyone have a PDF copy of the CFC letter regarding these to carry with me ?

bclinehand

With the pistol grip, I can't find the letter, but I do have it somewhere. If you happen to be looking for one of the custom shoulder holsters for it, send me a PM. I run the SpecsOps now, and find a single point sling works better for my needs.

AFAIK, there is only one cheekpiece with the PowerPak, I only got one, and there doesn't seem to be room for a smaller one than I have, maybe a higher one, but it's almost too hig has it is. With an Eotech on it it should be better. I'll get mine railed up soon enough and through my 511 on it to see how it works. :D

a little concerned

Hey. I installed the Knoxx Spec-Ops on my 8.5" but I'm a little concerned about the overall length. It measures about 1.5mm past 27" rather than the .5"-.75" you showed Backwoods. I'm posting a pic of it to get your opinion because my stock looks different than yours. It's almost as if yours has a tan spacer on it that may give it the added length. Feedback please.

I am not sure about 8.5, but I patterned DA12.5. The results are impressive.

Put it this way: I hit 18 out of 25 clays on trap field with Grizzly.

Si###: That's the same stock, maybe you are seing the sling I have tied around the tube?

The minimum length is 26 inches (660mm)....not 27 inches...and my photo was off a bit, but you are fine.:dancingbanana::D

With teh Knoxx on there, I find the front railed strapped forend a pain in the ass (the strap gets stuck in the action when chambering rounds fast)...I'm on the hunt for a trick new forend....I have a machinist who might fab something up to mount a grip of some kind onto...we'll see.

Thanks Backwoods. It is the sling I saw, and you're right about the overall length. I'm having a bad week and I guess I had a blonde moment. I've been hanging out with my wife alot lately, so her blondeness must have rubbed off on me. I'm still in shock that she got 94 for her NR PAL and 98 on her restricted.
I hope you post some pics of the new forend when you get it.
I haven't shot it with the recoil reducer on it, but was surprised it didn't kick as bad as I thought it would with the manuf. stock on it. My range only has indoor and it won't allow shotguns under 16.5" so I have to wait until I go up to my buddy's farm in Orillia to shoot it until I join another range with outdoor facilities. My buddy was scared to try it when I took it out the first time.
Does it make a big difference with the SpecOps on it for perceived recoil?

I found the strap to also get caught up when racking the slide, so I simply cut it off and....voila!

I'm curious to see some pics of the holster for these, backwoods. Also would like to see a copy of the CFC letter if anyone has it...

Lemme get this straight, are we now officially allowed to have pump shotguns under 26" with pistol grips installed? Would this only be safe to do in BC or all over? I have the 12.5" grizz and would prefer to have it pistol gripped when I take it for defense on canoe trips.

Just out of curiosity, while I await the Grizzly 8.5", how much for the same holster as what you have? But in black or deep blood red?

Mines "Ox Blood Red" its much darker than in the photos, but the camera flash brightens it quite a bit. He's made a few, and each one gets better and better. When he's almost done making one, I usually take my Dlask 8.5" down to his shop to make sure fit and finish are top notch. I'll PM you his details.

I'd be interested as well.
