It’s actually a really nice combo, when they had the serbu clones I ended up getting the folding handle on the 8.5 and a extra 14” conversion barrel they had made a while back they had leftover that fit 8.5 model add a Carlson breech brake and a plus one mag tube extension pretty bad ass
Really, I have to ask what the point of this particular design is when you can have 11 rds of 2 3/4" or 17 rds of Aguilla Shorty Slugs and Buckshot on tap with the Keltec KSG "Tactical" Short Barrel Shotgun (SBS)? At 21" total OAL, the KSG "Tactical" is not a lot bigger but the design holds a great deal more ammunition on tap, which is always the achilles heel of compact shotguns. Not so with the KSG "Tactical".....

For me it’s the customizability of the 870 platform. The amount of aftermarket out there is great, plus it’s a way smoother and less clunky gun to run. No hate on the KSG, but that’s why I’d probably take an 870
