Dlask non-restricted ACR Barrel

Got mine back from the verifier today. Cost me $20 now just waiting for CFO to send me notification paperwork has been completed.

I'm very curious to see how these non restricted models shoot once they start coming in. I doubt they are going to shoot any better than the 16 inch barrel. Probably give 100 more fps and similar accuracy unless they up the barrel quality. Being fatter doesn't automatically translate into tighter groups.
I'm glad I went the way I did, Bushmaster has been promising conversion kits since 2011 and still hasn't delivered so I wouldn't hold your breath that they will deliver the non restricted version when they claimed it will be ready.
Once they do start coming the PRS stock will be available for those that want it for their restricted version, as will the barrels.

Bought a Leupold Mark AR Mod 1 3-9×40 with mildot reticle for mine today.
Going shooting tomorrow to sight it in and have some fun :D

More pics guys, lets see those rifles :)

I think it is great that they included a Geisselle trigger in their DMR. Of course, in 2014 we can do better than build a 10 pound .223 poodle shooter. We have the technology.

We also have the technology for you to look up the actual weights of the rifle but you don't use the technology.
I will clarify it for you with pictures :)

This rifle has a non restricted length barrel and Geissele super ACR trigger. Total invested $2600 not including glass.
Keep the DMR model, it's just going to be expensive and heavy and I doubt it will shoot any better than the factory 16 inch. My barrel came from a match grade blank and has a Wylde chamber and 1:8 twist. Pretty sure it will shoot better than the new one that may or may not make it to Canada in 2014.

Here is the rifle with Leupold scope and Burris PEPR QD mount.

And without scope

I'm also pretty sure that the non folding stock I have in the gun room is lighter, maybe I should put it on and weigh it again.

Well...... ACR sitting at the smith ready for the dlask barrel. Smith is receiving 4 barrels and my rifle is the test bed.

Don't let him gouge you on labor, I can swap gas systems in 15min and the paperwork to make it non restricted and take it off the registry is a single page.
Be sure to post a nice range report with some pictures once you get it back from him. Don't forget to add the range report to the ACR info and media thread in this section as well :)

Which barrels are they selling to do this with?

I looked at it and there is no writing what so ever, looks like an AR barrel. Asked the CSC staff and they seemed unsure as well since they only got them late yesterday. I'm assuming Dlask custom made since I have a few of their products at home.

If it's Dlask it should be a green mountain barrel. Did they know the twist rate or which chamber it has?

Alright. Calgary Shooting Center has received their barrels from Dlask. I guess mine is the first they are trying out. I will let you all know what the cost was, pics and a range report when its finished. Cost im a bit curious about as they never quoted me a final figure.

Not sure actually on twist or if it is 5.56mm or. 223

I paid $580 for it, bearing in mind that I save shipping twice to BC and they'll do it on site, it's not bad deal..

Pretty sure Dlask said 1:7 twist and 5.56 chamber.

Don't let them gouge you too bad. I can swap gas systems in 15min and it's a single piece of paper to fill out. If they have an FRT# for the barrel from Dlask it's a 5min job.

Well i dont think CSC will gouge me too bad. So far ive had nothing but good service by them. Plus they are always cheaper then the TSE. Main reason i went this way is i can purchase the rifle already NR status. Dlask as well has always been good. Purchased a SR22 barrel and NR HK USC barrel from them

Guess it doesn't matter, Stormchaser just bought a NR ACR with a Herron barrel. His restricted ACR will be going up for sale soon.

Someone needs to give one of these a try.

Edit, He already has it in the EE :)

I'll probably give it a try, I bought Stormchasers Restricted ACR, lol!.
