DNT OPTICS - SHOT SHOW Launch - some great new products coming!!!!

Do you know if the DNT 5-25 will have better glass than the EP5? Wasn't a fan of that one. If it's just going to be a re-branded DNT with a different reticle then there's not much point waiting for it.

I actually don't know yet, as its not yet in production. I would assume it would have an edge on the Arken EP5, as the factory is pretty much now "competing" with Arken. But it remains to be seen what glass is going to be used. We're not expecting the DNT 5-25x56 until probably April/May.

Prefer 5-25 to 7-35 so I'll wait to see how it shakes out. If it has glass on par with the 7-35 then it will likely be a smash hit.

Glad to see they have a 2-12x42 coming. Would be nice to see something beat the Athlon Helos at a similar price point.
 
Oh weird. So they're going more downmarket on that then. People in the states seem to buy their Helos around US$300 with the constant discounts. Can't imagine they can match the Helos going that low, though. Thanks for the info.

No, not downmarket - just competing with everything out there head-on. Dollar for dollar their products would be better than the competition.
 
Do you have an MSRP for the new EP5 5-25? ETA? I'm looking at either an EP5 or maybe an Athlon Helos to mount on a Bergara HMR.

We don’t yet but expect it to be similar in price to the Arken EP5. But as with the DNT 7-35x56, it will have enhancements not found on the EP5, like better (more modern) reticle which is fully illuminated, supplied built in throw lever and some cosmetic enhancements.

ETA is still not known, but expecting them most probably in April with some luck.
