Do you have unfounded hatred regarding certain firearms? I do

I dislike SKS. And it's sad because when I saw them I was in awe of them. It was the gun I wanted the most. The day I went to get it I bought the sks a crate of ammo and a moisen. Get to the range and never had a problem with it just really liked the moisen. Went a week later and bought an svt-40 and that one is ok. No real reason why I don't like it, just didn't fall in love with it

That same thing happened to me with the SKS. I bought one. Never really cared for it. Then few years latter all the suddenly I started to like it.

I don't HATE any firearms...Im a Senior citizen, and prefer the firearms of my youth, memories I guess...I also prefer Blue and Walnut...The more As the better.

Any nice gun that I can't afford.

....oh wait - that's not hate ;D

I don't think there's a gun made that I'd invest strong negative emotion in. Even the ones that I don't like and ended up selling.

nothing unfounded, just dislike certain brands, makes, models, etc from personal experience with them. And this is not just from a cursory glance at a retail store, If I post about a bad experience it means I spent a significant amount of time with the item in question.

Rem 597. Biggest cheap POS ever. Came NIB with crooked sights, rusty bore, extractor issues, trigger became loose n' sloppy, parts fell off/ out of gun....head ache after headache. Granted it is a budget gun, but I look at it like this;
If I had bought a $300 Tellevision and the picture was all wonkey, the speakers were blown right from factory and the remote contol didn't work/ fell apart and then the store told me sorry but we can't fix/ exchange it because you are Canadian....but give it to us for 6-9 months and we'll see what we can do...I'd F#*in loose it! The better buisness beurau would force them to improve their quality and fix existing tellevisions.....but its a gun so its different?

How 'bout just liking your guns that work for you and not poo pooing other peoples guns. It's stuff like this thread that makes the anti's happy.
I think the antis could care less what we like about done guns and not others.
i will also not back down, cow tow or in any any other way compromise regarding their BS whenever I am approached or otherwise engaged by that bunch of idjits

Like Dogs, I don't hate dogs, in fact I love dogs I just hate their owners (my work, an office allows people to bring in dogs, it gets pretty annoying when you are trying to type out a report - no one has ever asked if I am allergic - I am not but it illustrates my point of disliking certain dog owners.).

To that end 700's, people who own them love them and reccomend them to new shooters ALL THE TIME! They are not a good starter rifle for the money and effort you have to put in to one to get it accurate. Not to mention all of the quality control issues that they have had as of late. To recommend a gun to a shooter that needs a rail, rings, bedding job, free float the barrel, replace the trigger, raise the cheek height and all of the rest of it - this gun is not a starter gun, it's far from a novice gun and maybe even a step above a gun that an intermediate shooter should be using as a building block for a rifle build whether it is for hunting or long range shooting. It's popular because a long time ago it won a military contract and from there the hype just piled on. I myself even bought a remington 700 in 7mm rem mag as my first rifle and hated it with a passion put about 40 rds through it and sold it. The rifle I bought after that was a savage and I love. But again I go back to the original point, 700's aren't totally bad, I just get frustrated when someone recommends it to a new shooter and says it's great gun. No... It's not.

I don't really have a hate for any guns/calibers. There are plenty I have no interest in owning.
The only brand I will never own(unless it's given to me) is browning. I will completely admit that they are nice guns, and I have shot a fair amount of them, but for some reason, they just don't do anything for me.

As far as calibers go, I guess I'm what most people on here call vanilla lol. I love the 30-06... I have two. I like any caliber that you can pick up in pretty much any back road country store, and don't cost an arm and a leg.
I will never own anything "short mag"...more recoil, more money, and I really don't care how flat a bullet shoots, as long as it hits the target lol.

I don't care for Remington either, they'll never see my dollars again. I hate Harris bipods, damn they're ugly.

Why the hate on Savage? My 10 TR grouped .7 inches @ 100 yards, first time out. And that's with me shooting, it can do better. Remington 160 grain PSP (cheapest available ammo I could get, wont buy again cause they're all seated at diff depths and the points are all squashed).
