T.I sent me this on Fri after numerous requests for an update and to clarify the number of mags I will get with my order..

"We were not aware of the most recent magazine issue until this past weekend, unfortunately we are not able to fulfill your spare magazine requirements. The magazines are automatically on back order until next shipment Q1 2018, with the inclusion of an additional bonus mag per rifle for the troubles. Your order is on the truck to be shipped today, please let us know as soon as possible if you’d like to cancel your order."

Has anyone else been told similar? I'm wondering if this is to shut me up for a bit and stop me from cancelling.. If this is true why haven't I received shipping info and why does my account still say received?

It appears they are doing this still to a # of people.

Not too sure why the rest of us haven't gotten our tracking #'s yet. Just does not seem right at all.

WTF IS THIS NOW? Sounds like they cant even fulfill the rifle order now... IM STILL WAITING ON TRACKING for fixed with 10/3 mags I think I'm gonna cancel soon......the biggest mistake they made was not shipping the big dollar orders the guys who bought several rifles and
Spent thousands....TI I did really like you guys for years and years but right now I'm just pissed off happy Sunday another day with no tracking

Many of us are wondering the same. I almost wonder if they are stringing people along hoping enough people will cancel as they trickle out a few rifles a day to cover for a shortfall in rifles, or to recoup enough inventory space to replace defective guns?

And ps, I got the same explanation out of them and should have seen my tracking number 2 days ago. But of course that didn't happen, as I've had 3 promised shipping dates not honored so far.

I've decided it's not worth asking anymore, they are just telling me what I want to hear and then doing nothing about it.

I should also mention that those of us getting only 2 or 3 mags will, in effect, have guns that aren't resellable at a reasonable price compared to people that got 5 or more mags.

Something like 80% of they guns they shipped went with 5 to 8 mags, while those of us unlucky enough to have been near the end of their unfathomable shipping order algorithm get 2 or 3.

Since there is no guarantee new mags will ever materialize (the t81 order took 2 years and only happened because of a military order), we are effectively owners of rifle with orphan mags and all accessories require 4 or more mags to fill. The T81 is a 5 mag gun. 4 in the chest rig and one in the rifle.

The free mag per rifle for those of us who got fuct over by TI and will have to wait however long now (TI has proven to be dishonest about timeframes) is a joke.

I will be getting under $200 dollar value on an over $5000 dollar order. Do the math, it is peanuts. This "apology" bonus is supposed to make things ok for getting downgraded in my order not once but twice.

If and when the oversold mag shipment shows up I will not be suprised to see TI ship "last order in first out" again.

SICK
Oh man that makes me SICK cause definitely for resale value i always buy a ton of mags the worst part is ordering in april 2016 and getting fvcked.....and I'm really just sick of having to shoot 3 mags ( 15 rounds ) then have to reload.....that's why my total order was 10 mags my 5th email will be sent on monday demanding brs99 mags on a 1 for 1 basis for every type 81 mag they dont include.....didn't bfiles order 50 mags total lol?

Not to add to the conspiracy theory, but when I contacted them a few weeks ago (before we even knew of the widespread "bent rifle" problem) and asked to buy one of the folders that some guys here were cancelling, I was told that all those rifles are already spoken for by other customers who are on the waiting list (?). Was it to cover warranty replacements or actual unfulfilled orders? Who knows.

Take it for whatever it is worth... but the more time passes with no updates and no tracking, the more I think some of us might get d*cked around till Q1 2018. TI probably bought the remaining guns as soon as they saw how fast the first shipment was selling, so the rest are probably already at sea, heading to Vancouver. If that is so, they should have them shortly after the Holidays and no one here will be the wiser....

Personally, I'd have a lot more respect for TI and would cut them a lot more slack if they just told us the truth. Having dealt with CP in the past, I don't buy the "Canada Post is only accepting 20 boxes a day" story either.

TI My dust cover has holes in it. Where they Ground the welds down on the end of the cover, they ground right through the first layer of metal and there is a hole. Can you replace just the cover or do i have to send a whole rifle in? I didnt know there was a bent Issue I SUPPOSE ill have to check that also now.

We've definitely been strung along since they entered the country, not clear as to why though, maybe multiple reasons.. regardless, their incompetence is next level... this is the first status update i've been given, so with all the bs updates you've been told, i'm taking it with a grain of salt.. I better get some #'s by the end of the week!!!.. I've never been dikked around for an order like this before..

I'm with you about the mag shortage, why aren't they on the next ship with the cheek rests!?

I Think you’re right homie !!
What Q1 means?

One thing i would like to add... is i am no gunsmith!! And i dont like the fact that i have a rifle on the way that could have defects... and if i dont pick up on them soon enough it may be to late to send it back for a new one. I do find it pretty amazing what some people on this site can do with their firearms...

I'm with you on that I'm no gunsmith the most Ill do is clean the rifle and add a few parts if they become available....I couldnt even tell what to look for as if it's a defect or normal.....one guy posted his dust cover has holes in it an hour ago....like wow I already think I'll be sent a defective rifle I should just bail now the more i hear of this crap

Wow - as of Dec 3rd, 13 defective folders and 19 that are OK. Defect rate of 32% among those reported... WTF???

And TI claims they have only been contacted by ONE buyer about a defect/exchange, and that it was for grinding on a bolt. Either they aren't checking e-mails and phone messages, or...?

So I have about a 68% chance that my rifle will be OK when I get it. Assuming that since I'm gonna be one of the last to get a rifle that TI doesn't ship me someone else's defective returned gun...???

And don't call me paranoid... people with defective rifles (at a higher rate than TI admits to) have shipped back their defective guns and gotten replacements in the mail already while some of us (me included) haven't even gotten the first rifle yet. The guys getting inspected returns are making it more likely everyone else gets a dud, statistically speaking.

PS: I wonder two things:

1) When TI will have a "factory seconds" sale for those who don't mind a deal on a gun that functions but has a bend to it, or that has grinding on the bolt but still works? It seems they will have more than a few defective rifles that will need to be disposed somehow and a discounted "u fix 'em" sale seems a high probability.

2) What will the "u fix 'em" price be?

That's all true, its just another reason to avoid TI at all costs after this is all over. They have proven to be incapable of large scale business and consistently lie to their customers

A lot of the guns that are being called "defective" are not really defective at all
All the guys putting laser lines on their guns should give their heads a shake as most of them are perfectly usable. If everyone did the laser line on a m-305 then 100% of them would be defective

Yes there has been a few that are legitimately bad but the numbers on the poll are misleading as most of the bad ones are probably fine
If you want something built perfectly then go buy a product that is CNC machined as opposed to being folded around on a metal brake in the middle of China
