in ifitwags's words ;

"Meet Wally! He has been looking for a home since October of last year. He was placed in a wonderful home in November 2015 but due to his reactivity to dogs, he was returned. There was an incident around week 4 when Wally’s new owner’s dog, growled & snapped at Wally and Wally did a rather vicious take down – no vet bills but punctures on back, head and hind quarters.
Also, he has separation anxiety so badly that he destroys crates. He is 80 lbs of muscle! Like all GSPs he nee...ds lots of exercise to stay happy and content.
Wally's owners are threatening to take Wally to the shelter and have him put down. Wally is great with people and he loves to snuggle – seriously he will crawl into your lap if you let him! He is an amazing ball fetcher, too. But He has a very strong prey drive - 2 neighborhood cats with vet bills and a deer! I'm afraid his separation anxiety and dog reactivity at home make him very difficult to re-home. Wally really needs to be with someone who is really knowledgeable about GSPs AND dog training.
I believe that Wally is a wonderful dog who has lived with good people who don’t have the skills/time/understanding necessary to allow him to become a great canine companion. With the right owner, Wally would flourish!
If you are interested in learning more about Wally please email me at ifitwags@gmail.com. Wally is in the Seattle area but can be adopted to the surrounding areas or BC, but you would have to pick him up. Please share this post and help find Wally his forever home! "

btw , he is only 2 , and rumor has it he has actually caught a deer ( this makes me want to give him a high 5 :D )

"Sedona 2 years old Foster home needed

Sedona is a 2.5 year-old, female (spayed), pure-bread Redbone. She's been raised along side a little girl, and they get along pretty famously. Although kids who are not of our own can get Sedona excited enough to forget her manners at times (she gets a bit jumpy, which can be overwhelming to smaller kids and/or non-dog lovers), she hasn't got an aggressive bo...ne in her body. Although I suppose it's possible she could lick someone to death. smile emoticon

Sedona is house-trained and knows basic commands. She loves her morning walk and is decent on leash with a harness (although squirrels and cats will likely always be a weakness). She actually does much better on out on trails with a long line than in the city.
An urban environment is not the best fit for Sedona. Daily walks aren't adequate to fulfill her exercise/mental stimulation needs. She truly desires space to run free and use her hound nose! The fenced dog parks in the city don't have high enough fences - she just jumps over them.

Sedona isn't a nuicance barker but, like all hounds, Sedona's bark literally carries for miles!

Sedona is a delightful (beautiful!) dog who loves people has energy for an active lifestyle, and an overall willing-to-please temperament. She would thrive in a place where she has freedom, and opportunity to work with the skills of her breed (ideally with an owner who has more experience with and/or a keen interest in the finer qualities of Sedona's sporting nature). She would excel at scent work.

Sedona has sensitive skin, She is on a limited-ingredient food, and the next step is a raw diet. We will require her adopter to be committed to sticking with this so that she can be a happy healthy girl"

"Duchess 2 years old - Foster needed

Redbone Coonhound

She is good on a leash, travels in a car beautifully.
She is sweet natured, but is driven by her nose....
She has papers, but is not registered.
She really likes people food! She can be timid at times. (hand shy) She gets over this pretty quickly.
She needs a gentle but confidant owner to help her be the best dog she can be!

Meet Riley! He's a very handsome 4 - 5 year old Weimaraner. Riley is very sweet, and is a favourite around here! He is good with other dogs and all people. Like most Weims, he can be bouncy and sometimes forgets how big he is and will jump up on you. Because of his bouncy-ness he could easily knock over small children. He has fairly good manners but will need to continue his obedience, especially... '4 on the floor'. Riley needs to lose a few pounds so we are looking for a family who can give him lots of exercise as well as consistency and attention! Riley would prefer to live with a family that isn't gone for long hours, he really loves being with his people. He does have some interest in cats on walks but we believe, he could be trained to live with a dog savvy cat.

If you’re interested in Riley email dogwoodrescuesociety@gmail.com

Meet Jenner, a two year old American Eskimo/Heeler mix. He loves getting his cuddles and going out on adventures of all sorts. Still learning his commands, but picking them up quite quickly, he is eager to learn and even more eager to please. Loves to play with other dogs, but he is still learning that chasing other animals is not allowed. He would thrive in a household that has another dog friend for him to spend his time with.

Hi, I’m Teka! I'm a friendly, happy, strong, Weimaraner and I would really love a forever family of my own. I’m about 8 years old but don’t let that fool you I’m full of life!
I love to go for runs, walks and hikes. I have good recall but sometimes I get distracted if I see something like a squirrel! I’m very smart and know commands like sit, lie down, paw, and roll over. I love other dogs. I am g...reat with all people and I love to be included as part of the family. I will let you know when someone is at the door! I don’t really like being by myself for very long so I would love a family where someone is home a lot of the time, and wants to spend lots of time with me!
If you know someone who might love to snuggle me for the rest of my days please share smile emoticon

Hat's off to you sir if I was closer I'm sure I'd be having one of these fine fellows visiting my home.. it's great when someone works to get our four legged friends a new home..

I will be honest.... A good hunting dog is trained from near birth...... If I got paid for every hour I have spent with my dogs, I would be twice as wealthy as I am.....

Now, that being said, I am a dog lover and these pooches deserve a good home, and shame on their owners for offering them up..... A dog is a commitment...... Do it or don't..... Here is my Molly.......

Your Molly is awesome! lol
If I was closer I would be taking Bonnie or Clyde. They look like a couple of great dogs!
