Speak of the Devil & he'll turn up every time

I see some of our resident trolls have surfaced in this thread!..........i think we all know who they are.Thank god for the ignore button.

:D
Fired the Outlaw with Rottweil Brenneke 1 1/8 oz. rifled slugs.

Definitely put two holes in the target at 15 yards & I'm sure that an aberrant "blackie" standing in that spot would be very, very dead.

Had foam rubber earplugs in and no muffs when I pulled the triggers.

WOW!

I hope ear drum reattachment is covered by OHIP.

I like the gun.....score 8/10....it's a rough cut diamond from the machining point of view.......it definitely ain't no Greener .............in fact one look at the metal work & the wood to metal fit of the Outlaw confirms my long standing suspicion that they allow dope & drinking on the job in Chinese gun factories .............but for the money I paid it's a damned good value.

Just quoting your results and by your results there are a very high number that are not satisfied. They are your poll results? You tell me? I think that even with a stacked deck, you can not deal CanAm's outlaw a winning hand.:D

Don't answer my question with a question. You quoted these preliminary statistics from this thread to support your position. Therefore do you accept that your post #15 of this thread (see quote below) is invalid or are you quoting statistics that you believe are "Not Scientific at all. Just made to be pissed on." just to support your position?

That's just it! The type of pole you are doing is spelled with an e. Not scientific at all. Just made to be pissed on. Good luck with your scientific pole.

I accidentally voted yes, but meant to vote no

My Outlaw still won't close fully, it gets hung up, and has to be forced shut

And the 5th or so round of buckshot I fired through it; I went to open the action, and the f**king thing was locked shut. Wouldn't open until I actually turned it upside down and hammered it onto the sandbag to break open the hinge and eject the spent shell

All-in-all, buy one because it's so cheap, but don't expect it to function perfect

I recommend the backpacker way over the Outlaw personally.

No problem, I'll count you as a no. Just post a home picture please.

Please explain to me why the poll question is "a stacked deck". Otherwise retract your statement as it infers that I am being somehow unfair in the manner that I have conducted this poll.

I will test my Outlaw by actually shooting it before I come to any conclusions about it. I will report my results, positive or negative in an honest fashion on this forum so that they are available to other Gunnutz.

I object to your unsupported and unsubstantiated slur that this poll is "a stacked deck" as I have gone out of my way to make the poll as fair and as fact based as possible.

This has gone downhill. Don't let the fact that the naysayers don't own the gun (and don't want to)....... oh wait let that fact be paramount, you don't want one, you don't own one (or intend to own one). Its just a bit of hot air, blah blah blah covey ridge says this blah blah blah Claybuster said that, blah blah blah Beer Drinker agrees with... this is crap, the people who don't have the gun are swearing that we will kill our range mates with deadly forearm wounds and exploding barrels. HAS THIS EVER HAPPENED?

do you have your towel?????

Holy Crap!!

As many on the hunting forums know, I like good guns. I also appreciate a inexpensive fun gun

I may have to order one to test. I am no firearms expert, but I am no dummy, either. I'd like to evaluate one.:dancingbanana:

I think that the poll maybe should have had different options; feel that I got my money's worth/feel that I did not get my money's worth.

Some people's expectations seem to be awfully high for a $300 Chinese gun. And speaking of, everybody seems to be forgetting what Canam has done here; brought in an apparently decent-if-not-spectacular 12.5" coach gun for $300. He really made Wendy cry with this one.

Peronally, were it not for the fact that I have a family of starving M-14s to feed, I'd be seriously tempted to buy one as a project gun; strip it, clean it, smooth it up, and tweak it up. It'd be pretty educational.

If I'm not wrong the only other "cheap" coach gun with functioning hammers is the Baikal IZH 43KH (not the IZH 43K) or Remington SPR 220 (same gun)you can buy one for about $650:eek:

Sometimes you have to pay a little more to get a lot more.

Not sure if this might help you, or if you would like to tackle it, but in one of my earlier posts when I tore mine down, I found the pivot screw on the lock mechanism wasn't fully threaded in, and slightly canted. On my quick reassembly of the action I tightened and alligned it a little, and it made it a shorter throw to open it. Admittedly though, shes buried pretty deep in the action. Also, as I mentioned in that post, the action spring for the release was full of oil, in the cold I would think this might cause an issue.

I'll have to pitch in until covey wakes up

are you working for canam ?

Look up some of my other posts. I make a lot more money being an international geologist than I would as a salesman for Canam.

I am not a pro Norinco shooter. I have posted many times that my Lever purchased M93 pistol is a piece of crap. My other Norincos are great.

The difference between me and the "Fun Police" is that I will call them the way I see them based on my actual usage of a firearm. I am not blinded by their country of origin.

Nor do I spew unsubstantiated posts regarding kabooms that might threaten the shooters around me.

I find it very interesting that in the shotgun kaboom thread where Jackie described his injury after being hit by some shrapnel at a trap/skeet event, none of the Norinco owners tried to hijack that thread. Instead everyone, myself included simply said sorry to hear about it, what can we do to avoid similar accidents and get well soon.

That speaks louder than anything to me regarding the character of the posters.

I am not "blinded by their country of origin" either. What blinds me is the shoddy workmanship. Take a look at these pic's Dozing posted (thanks Dozing). The build quality is crap. I am not saying they will blow up in your face but failure is definitely going to happen.. This is the worst excuse for a lock mechanism I have ever seen. It makes the worst "Belgian clunker" look like a Holland & Holland.

I'm not going to vote, as I don't have one. But having looked at the pictures provided I have concluded that the gun in question was "machined" by a drunk eleven year old with a dremel.

Makes my Condor look good.

Excellent post, fact based. If you have photos of good quality locks for comparison, I'm sure that all of us would appreciate seeing them.

Thanks Win/64.

Voted yes.

Are you happy with your Dominion Arms Outlaw? Yes I'm happy with it.

Is this the best gun you own? No.

Is this the best SxS on the market? No.

After I saw the intensely amateurish file ;)finishing;) work on the Outlaws receiver I have to admit that the very first two shots with the gun were fired with the gun secured to a bench rest with a string attached to the triggers with me ten feet away behind Plexiglas.

I think that the consumption of dope & booze are allowed (maybe even encouraged) in those Chinese gun factories judging from their workmanship.

The wholesale unit cost for these guns would probably be around ;)$10.95;) with half of it for postage & handling.

It probably cost more to make the trigger lock on my Outlaw than the gun itself.

The Outlaw shotgun is good enough for my intended purposes though.

The NRA classification for the Outlaw would likely be "KIN".......that means that if you found it on a gun shop's sale rack you'd be authorized to kick the store owner in the nuts......hence KIN (Kick In Nuts).

Yes I fear that I have met my match:eek:

Actually your poll is exceeding my wildest dreams:dancingbanana:
If this does not convey a message, I do not know what will? Thanks to dose and his excellent pics and post as well. The end.
