As I have said before, current ETA is this fall. Could it be winter? Sure.

If you are the type of person that needs the gun now, I suggest buying it from a dealer that has it in stock, and taking the price hit once ours land. At least you'll have had a while to get your moneys worth out of it by then. The $849 pre-sale price stands, even if we sell them at a loss, because that is what we promised to do.

We have a huge number of containers coming this fall.

We have been dealing with these since 2008 and they are just another gun for us now. The honeymoon is long over.

I will not be posting updates again until they are on the warehouse floor. So bookmark this post so you can refer back if you want an update next week.
 
Norinco Type 97 NSR... Where are they???

So it seems that every other gun store online has Norinco Type 97 rifles in stock, available and are making good on delivering their pre-orders. What's going on at Canada Ammo? Most places sent out warning orders that the NSR's were coming soon, but not a peep from C.A! Did you get shafted on the shipment or are you just overwhelmed with completing the hundreds of pre-orders you must have. Please let us know, before we start cancelling our pre-orders and just buy them from stores that have them in stock for only an extra $100.
 
I was gunna order one from canada ammo too because of the price, however I missed the boat, not to hijack but ill buy your preorder please
 
I emailed CanAm yesterday to inquire. They said the rifles are in production as we speak, no ETA as to when they will be here.

I just had a look, the CanAm preorder is still on their site @849...

Whenever their T97's show up, I will be buying one! (To join the one I got this past Friday...)

I pre-ordered mine from a different retailer and it arrived yesterday! Have no idea as to why CanadaAmmo has not received any to fill their orders. I'd expect that they should have some soon as other retailers have advertised them for sale.
 
because they are imported under a different name/importer and didnt come with the other shipments

I suspect ( personal thought) that CA have a many hundreds on preorder, i know at at least 15 guys who are waiting for them, but i also suspect that if it go later than jan 2014, a lot of peoples will buy them from the dealer that have them in stock... JP.

How is it that everyone has the Norinco Type 97 except Canada ammo? No updates, no info, no problem, I'll just have to buy one from one many suppliers that have them in stock and available right now! Did CA get screwed out of a delivery or are they just super busy sending rifles out? I sent them my updated credit card and did not even receive any acknowledgement for the email. Customer service seems to be slipping...
 
You think posting twice in the general section and canada ammo dealer forums will get you an answer faster?

Short answer canada Ammos t97 is the NRR which is still in production. And not approved by the RCMP, so it going to be a longer wait.

Why do you not understand that it is a different rifle?
 
I am not sure why ppl think they should all arrive at the same time. They are ordered at different times, our shipping schedule is different, our product production schedule is different, etc.
 
Thanks, that explains it. Same but different? NSR vs NRR, all I was seeing was Type 97's showing up everywhere except where I ordered one.
