I found the T97 to have a very long first stage, but decent second stage. Overall not bad.
Its been a long time since I fired a Tavor, so I can't compare the two.

Could you comment on the fit and finish on these guns?

Had a look at the T97NSR at Wanstalls. The pictures do not do the rifle justice, the fit and finish is great for a Chinese rifle. So I imagine the 97NRR will be the same. The trigger has it's creep but it is smooth and when it breaks it is crisp. It is the same or better than the Tavor, trigger that is. I liked the rifle for a non restricted bullpup at it's price point. The cosmetics are fine and dandy but we will have to wait to see what the function of the rifle will be like....thats the most important. I will wait for range reports.

I only handled the Wanstall's sample gun for a few minutes, but it seemed decent. Sorry I can't be more specific. I wish I brought my camera along.
Although I didnt get a chance to really go over it in detail, I feel positive enough to buy one when they arrive.

Well I impulsivley ordered one of these on their website today. I'm assuming that just means I'm on the pre-order list and won't get charged until they ship. I figured CanadaAmmo should get the support considering their immense investment of time and money into these rifles.
As a side note their website is a freaking money grabbing mine field. Gotta try keep my visits down to less than once a month or else I will have no savings left :D
Keep up the great work!
