Dominion Outlaw... stripped

Win 64 is as good with his P gun as you guys with your D guns, but you have to let him premount and everone has to shoot in turn and he gets to say pull first.:D Rules for wild west bar fights will have to be re written.:dancingbanana:

Wouldn't need a gun. :)

you are one fearsome dude:D, but lets try to stay on topic this time:dancingbanana:

I am trying to get into it buy imagining bar fights as suggested and maybe a drug deal gone bad:cool:

or maybe some newbie showing up on the trap range with one and putting those gun snobs in their place;)

This thing is growing on me.... Anyone got an opinion on this as a bear gun? I've already got an 870 slug gun... but maybe this would be my backup gun... in case they're... zombie grizzlies...?:ninja:

I would love to see someone use one of these at a skeet field and get a decent score. :evil:The closest I saw a few years ago was one chap smoked 8 in a row (including 2 doubles) with a 14 inch Valtro PM5!:D

8 in a row Holy S**T.

Bear gun, ummm not to sure. I would likely stick to my 870 as its a little more simple, but truthfully it would likely do ok. You could keep it loaded with the hammers down, and, assuming you remember to #### them when you see the bear chewing on your arm, you could just #### and shoot.
Zombies, the extractor and only two shots is a little too limited, you want a beltfed for zombies...

Probably improve score if a mid rib bead was installed and shooter learned to form a figure eight with the two beads and have special skeet chokes installed. For goose shooting at longer ranges maybe a hi viz or a true glow sight would be an advantage.

Anyone got an opinion on this as a bear gun?

You got to keep in mind that the right barrel will probably shoot left and the left barrel will probably shoot right:confused:, that is if it shoots at all! You should have the hammers removed! During the fiasco of a close encounter, you may get the stubby stuffed up your stump and though it would be the least of your worrys, the hammers would cause extra pain.:p

opinions are like a**holes! everyone has one:D

I would think that a real skeet shooter would invest in custom after market tubes and make it into a 4 gauge set.

Hey Dosing.
I'm curious about how well the buttstock shortening went?

The length of pull on mine is too long as well.

I'm thinking of taking the rubber pad off and cutting an inch off the wood too. And then putting a brass buttplate on.

I just cut it 20minutes ago, and it went spectacularly. The wood cut really well. I used a metal bandsaw and slowed the drop rate of the cut down a little, it net result was a far smoother finish than the factory had done. The wood is something odd for sure, I almost thought boxwood or something, almost a fruity smell when it gets cut. I am making a metal plate to replace the factory one, out of some plate from work. I'll see how that goes, and if I like it I will keep it, otherwise I will just buy a thin red rubber style one to use, as I am trying to keep the olde tyme look going.

I actually bought one to try out for this application. I already have three shorty shotguns (12.5" Rem870, 14" Fabarm, 20" SxS) but I wanted to try something different.

Round capacity is a bit of an issue but I figure I will probably only have time to get off one or two shots anyways, based on many of the bear attacks I read. I will usually also have my rifle in my hands so that would be my first line of defense anyways. By the time I could transition to my shotgun, time is already against me to fire more than twice.

My biggest concern is actually reliability. If this gun does not go bang every time it is supposed to, it will be a range toy only (if that).

Also, if I would have to choose a gun to carry solo (such as while hiking and not hunting), I would probably go with something with a higher round capacity

Since I plan on taking off an inch or two, it means a new buttpad most likely (steel I should think)

Any suggestions for a steel (or any other materials) buttpad or something more rustic than a rubber pad for the gun, where I can find one?
