Don't buy a BCL 102

BCL aluminum.. lol

Actually the tabs on beverage cans are made from 7075 aluminum. BCL 102's as far as I know are made from 6061 which is a cheaper product. Forged receivers and quality billet receiver sets are made from 7075.
thanks for the educational info

I would use the word gunsmith loosely. There are a lot of them that don't know what they are doing and I wouldn't let them touch a firearm.

bingo! its like mechanics, they all have a piece of paper on the wall but most of them are incompetent. gun smiths are no different, i have had so many bad experiences with gunsmiths.

From what has been posted elsewhere on CGN, of the near 4000 BCL-102 rifles manufactured to date, 6 have been reported to have the barrel indexing problem. I don't know if this qualifies as a "common" problem. BCL is replacing these rifles.

0.15%, Major problem....

Make no mistake if the result is an out of battery detonation that's as serious as a heart attack, BUT to just step back and look at the actual numbers I've always said NEA/BLC isn't likely much worse than any other manufacture for ACTUAL defects. Are they great rifles, sure doesn't look like it. Are they as bad as the Blowhards on CGN make it out to be, none that I've held/shot. The real problem with BLC Rifles is the bandwagon. Allow me to elaborate, we all remember Mike The Bike right? Mike use to drone on about how he witnessed another members rifle "blow up". With a little bit of knowledge of what went before I know he hadn't even met the member who's flash hider did a banana peel imitation until several weeks (at least) later.

BLC's biggest problem is hot air. To the hot gas emitters if you saw it happen please let us know. If you didn't/haven't please keep the pie hole shut so to speak...
