Ya, I seen that one, but it’s only the lower.
BCL aluminum.. lol
thanks for the educational infoActually the tabs on beverage cans are made from 7075 aluminum. BCL 102's as far as I know are made from 6061 which is a cheaper product. Forged receivers and quality billet receiver sets are made from 7075.
I would use the word gunsmith loosely. There are a lot of them that don't know what they are doing and I wouldn't let them touch a firearm.
OP - could you get a photo of the index notch in the barrel seat of the upper receiver?
Is nobody going to mention the huge gap in the receiver fit? How is that related to a torqued barrel?
Thats most likely after it failed.
####ty seeing all these threads about BCL. I am looking into buying one
Does anyone know if there warranty is transferable?
Mine works just fine and its gen 1 .... I'm trying the warranty thing right now. waiting and waiting
From what has been posted elsewhere on CGN, of the near 4000 BCL-102 rifles manufactured to date, 6 have been reported to have the barrel indexing problem. I don't know if this qualifies as a "common" problem. BCL is replacing these rifles.
