Don't like pistols with the fat grip so what to buy?

The 1911 has a grip that pretty much fits everyone well, the M&P works very well for me in both 9 and 45 (they've got pretty much identical grip sizes) I have handled the Ruger and it has an excellent grip, very 1911 ish. You may also want to look at the upcoming 4th generation Glock - it has interchangeable backstraps like the M&P.

If you are not using it to play one of the action pistol "games" just for plinking then the Tok as mentioned above or my personal favorite in slim grips the P38. Also is the sig 220 not single stack? I may be wrong! but you said you always wanted a sig. I never understood all the rage for the double stack wonder guns as we are limited to 10 anyways. I wanted a Cz 75 pretty bad in the eighties but now that we are limited to 10 i 'm thinking of other guns like M&P 45 small gun designed for 10 rounds. If some one made a single stack, safe action/no safety lever gun in 9mm with 10 round mags i would be very interested as an ODPL pistol.

My Beretta M9 (92) feels litlle too fat in my hand, didn't think this to be a problem as I have fairly big hands, and as a result I tand to get tired too fast when shooting M9,. Ruger P944 feels much better in my hand, it has a leaner handle, and I love to shoot it and shoot it lot more than M9.
Tried today SIG P226 22LR it has just a little smaller handle than M9 but still fat, ordered it today from EE and if it proves to be uncomfortable to shoot it'll be big dissapointment since I always longed for SIG.
So which pistoles out there are that fit my need of leaner handle?

I also like how Nornico M1911 and Ruger Mk1 fit in my hand.

Cheers.

I found the same thing with the Beretta many years ago. After owning a few different double stack 9mm's I settled on the CZ75 [back in the day way before the B model came about]. Then I discovered the BHP MKIII and that was that.
