Don't shoot strange-looking escaped deer, Ontario sanctuary urges

The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources is concerned that the fallow deer could interbreed with native species, said spokesman Eugene DeShane.

"We want to keep the white-tailed strain separate from any other deer species because we want to keep them pure," he said.

Now doesn't that inspire confidence in the MNR? The friggin' deer can't interbreed any more than a moose and whitetail could (be funny watching them try though).

back to sjemac............

You will be highly interested to know that Eugene DeShane is our area biologist for the MNR. I believe that might also be your occupation? Maybe you should give Eugene a collegial phone call! ;)

Back to blargon..........when you set up the deke and the doe piss in your back yard, keep that doe piss away from the BBQ, OK?

He is one of those know it all school teachers. And high school to boot, worst kind!!

Back to riden..............

Eugene is not a high school teacher.

I am not and have never been a high school teacher. I am retired army guy, thirty years in the outfit (regular force).

So who the hell are YOU talking about?:confused::confused:

sjemac???? :confused::confused::confused:

While a common belief, there is no scientific evidence to support that.

There wasn't any CWD in Saskatchewan until they allowed farming of elk and whitetail
Kimzter

it didn't show in the quote but he was referring to disease transfer from farmed animals into the wild
sorry about that

Not only did these poachers shoot Dandy out of season, they did so on a Sunday and showed they were aware of their lawlessness by not treating his remains with any appropriate respect.

Which season is that exactly? Varmint hunting is year round.;):)

Man, what a load of codswallop.

It was NOT poaching, there is no closed season, gun hunting is allowed on Sundays in that municipality AFAIK, and the person(s) KEPT the meat and antlers, so nothing of value was wasted.

They were expecting maybe a Christian burial with a guard of honour and
the singing of cherubims and seraphims?

mmm some guy is having a nice feast.

There was a guy who raised wild boar near my camp, he was told if they got out they were fair game, same thing applies here, open season.

Makes me cheer every time some poaching goof gets his just desserts, and loses everything. Including his guns.

The turd that shot that deer hurt us all .
