Crap, one of my favourite 2.5x8 scopes is a touch too short for the CZ Safari .375, the forward base just hangs over the rear of the front base mount by a skinny 3/16". It shoots beautifully and 36 rounds later held it's zero. Me being a picky idiot let it get to me with the overhang and ordered a rail.
Yikes, do not think I can live with that either! No irons left without a allen key, and just too much ick for me, the rings where just what I had on hand for mock-up, never to be actually used... Thank goodness I had the foresight to order the 1.5x5 German #4 also
Puts me in a good place with the rail, have to order a CZ 550 FS 9.3 now and find out what all this red dot hype is all about!! What is the standard for a rugged, good quality red dot sight??
